Chapter 32: Broken Layla
Layla's Perspective:
"Wake up Layla, wake up!"
I could hear a gentle voice waking me up, rubbing his soft hands off my cheeks.
I slowly opened my eyes as the rays of the sun were reflecting on my face. It took me a second to realize what had happened to me. How I fainted in front of the elevator.
"Liam!" I said as soon as I came back to my senses.
My eyes were once again filled with tears on the realization of what happened to my brother earlier.
Liam was hit by a car and now he was in critical condition as the doctor told me on the phone. What was happening to me? Why can't I ever be happy? I was wrong that I'm not scared of anything anymore. I was wrong of being someone new. Someone different. I was still the same Layla from 11 years ago.
I'm not strong and I'm scared.
