Chapter 42: Shadows

They went back to Nevil's house after the meeting in the hall to sleep. The next day, she left to tour the city. Especially to the places where she has not yet arrived. She found the guild hall where some daughters of noble families serving the Lancasters were hanging out; she didn't think twice about entering the place, and they all turned on her. They look at her differently; she has been here quite long enough for them to know about her being in the North, but that doesn't make her equal to them. She's still higher, even if she was a rogue, in terms of power and in terms of being an alpha's daughter. They were looking at her like she was superior to them, but at the same time, there was some sly judgmental look.

"Isn't she the conqueror?"
