Lily's POV."Rise and shine, mama bear!" I groan into the pillow, covering my ears from her loud screeching. I didn't know who was worse between Vita and Penny. "Five more minutes." I said groggily, slapping her hands away when she attempted to pull me up. She laughed at my antics."Come on, get up! Aren't you tired of being cooped up in this house all day? Have you even gone shopping for baby clothes? Let's go have some fun!" My ears perked up at her words, I suddenly realized how true she was.Penny and I were planning on going baby clothes shopping, the week Vince's goons kidnapped me, but we couldn't go for obvious reasons.I reluctantly got up from the bed, and turned towards Vita who had a devious grin plastered on her face.I grunted. "I guess you're right." A thought crossed my mind and I immediately asked, "Did you inform your brother about this?" Vince would definitely get mad, if we went without his permission. She looked around sheepishly. "No I didn't, but I'm sure he
Lily's POV. After a one hour drive, we were finally in the shopping mall. We strolled to the babies aisle. I immediately fell in love with the different designs of baby clothes, I could already picture my son in those cute little outfit. "Omg! I can't wait to meet my nephew, these clothes are so beautiful!" Vee said in her loud voice making people turn to glare at her. She flipped them off and gave them the finger, I burst out laughing at her ridiculous attitude. Definitely worse than Penny, I thought with a smile. We started selecting cute outfits, Vita was on the other side of the aisle also picking out clothes.I couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched, but whenever I looked back I don't see anyone. Vita called my name, snapping my attention to her. I was probably just thinking too much."Look at this! It's so cute, what do you think?" She asks, I take a look at the cloth. It's a baby blue onesie, It has a writing, 'I love daddy and mommy' with a heart beside it, boldly
Lily's POV. "Where the fuck have you been?" A very familiar deep voice boomed.Oh no. This is bad, very bad. I've never seen Vincenzo this angry before. His jaw clenched and unclenched as he stared at me with dark eyes that sent a cold shiver down my spine. He was practically shaking from anger. His eyes looks murderous, making me flinch at the realization that I was terrified of this man in front of me. "I uh, I w-went shopping with Vita." I stuttered out as I hung my head in shame. I knew my life was in danger and I still left the house. Vincenzo's laugh caught me off guard, he laughed coldly without humor, he continued laughing and starts clapping his hands, walking around me in circles. "Really? You went shopping? While I was working my ass off to keep you and our baby safe? Tell me, did you enjoy yourself?" He spat out in anger, gritting his teeth with each word. "I-I -"He interrupted me. "Of course you did. You practically walked into danger after I repeatedly told you it w
Lily's POV. Vee and I couldn't go to the doctor's appointment because Vincenzo was constantly watching our every move, he even went as far as appointing two guards to breathe down our neck when he wasn't available to do so. It was really annoying the hell out of me, and making me worried too. I really wanted to know if something was wrong with my baby and the only other choice I have is to tell Vincenzo about it, but I just didn't know how to tell him about it. He's been doing so much already to keep the baby safe and I felt guilty for wanting to add to his stress. Especially when there is the possibility that nothing might be wrong. I thought about how much my life has changed in just a span of one and a half week. I found out my ex boyfriend and father of my child is a mafia boss. My life and that of my baby's is in danger. The lies. The secrets. And most importantly, the possibility of losing our baby. Call me selfish but, sometimes I feel like my life would have been a lot b
Lily's POV. A sharp pain from my lower belly woke me up, I grimaced. I groaned sleepily as I try to find a comfortable position. I stirred on the bed, and sat up as the pain eased a little and I managed to get up on my feet. My belly felt heavier than before as I made my way into the bathroom to take a shower. Showered and dressed, I carefully made my way out of my room and down the stairs. The Romano family were already seated for breakfast, with Vincenzo sitting furtherest away from his mom, he was sat at the head of the table looking as handsome as always. I did not just think that. Vita was sitting beside her mom speedily typing on her phone. She never seemed to leave that device. Carla was thankfully cheerful today. She seemed to have gotten over her son's behavior towards her a few days ago. Ever since Vincenzo confronted his mother he never came down for breakfast or dinner, he stayed cooped up in his room or at work, until today. Carla notices me and gave me a war
Vincenzo's POV. The second we made it to the hospital, I immediately pulled the car to a stop and called out for an emergency stretcher. I carried her into my arms as the nurses wheeled the stretcher to our direction and placed her on it. They immediately wheeled her inside and into an emergency room, I attempted to follow them into the room but I was was stopped by a doctor. I glared at him and grabbed his collar. "What the fuck is wrong with you?" I growled darkly. "I'm sorry, Mr Romano. But you're not allowed to be in the emergency room until we're sure what's wrong with her." The doctor spoke nervously. He should be nervous, alright. Because I'm seconds away from strangling the life out of him only one thing stopping me. Lillian. I tightened my grip on his collar." Now listen to me carefully, if anything happens to her or my child. I promise to make sure you don't have a career anymore, at least not in this lifetime." I seethed, making sure he knew how serious I was with thos
Vincenzo's POV. After waiting for five long hours, the doctor finally came out of the emergency room. The large door opened and the doctor and nurses stepped out.Five long hours of sitting at a very far distance away from them. I tried to search the doctor's expression to catch a glimpse of something - anything that would tell me she was fine. But I saw nothing. The doctors have learned how to mask their expression from the early stage of their career. My mother and Vita rushed over to him and gazing at him expectantly. "D-doctor how is she?" My mother asked. The doctor didn't give anything away. "Are you her mother?" He asked. "I'm her fiancée and I would suggest for you to start talking before I lose my shit." I spoke, casting him a dark glare. He cleared his throat, trying to act unaffected but I could see right through him. Except for the answers I eagerly wanted to hear. "There is no cause for Alarm. Spurts of blood are normal during the third trimester of pregnancy. " H
Lily's POV. A few days have passed since I was admitted to the hospital. And I have come to the conclusion that I hated hospitals. The boring white walls and tasteless food was starting to irritate me, thankfully I will be discharged today. Carla, Vita, Rico and even Antonio were the only company I had. They kept me company throughout the day. I think Antonio and I have agreed to be civil to each other because he wasn't scowling at me every second of the day. I appreciated their company, because if not for them, I would be drowning in my biggest fears. The doctor had told me about the risk of losing my baby or having a premature birth and I try to put up a cool facade with them. But they saw right through it when I would space out during our conversation. Vincenzo has been checking up on me too. But he never stayed to talk to me. He would only inquire about my health and ask if I needed anything before leaving. It hurts me that he isn't speaking to me, but I know it's all my faul
