Chapter CV

Alexander was certain that it was the middle of the night, and yet he could not shake off his agitation. His thoughts were now being clouded as rage was once again starting to take over his mind. A knock on the carriage door manages to remove those thoughts from him.

“Your Majesty,” the man whispered.

“What of it?” He took in a deep breath, holding on to his patience.

“We’ve finished patrolling and have done what you’ve asked,” the soldier states.

That woke his senses, making his blood surge. “And?” he was not starting to uncontrollably stomp his feet on the floor.

“It seems they’re only here for those things, your majesty,” the soldier states.

“Is that so.” That news irritated him.

But it still managed to calm his nerves. Knowing that this whole travel was not going to be a waste.
