(Juniper’s P.O.V)

Pain. That’s all I felt coursing through my body, time seemed to stand still while I was trapped in my body, but now…now I’m floating in the black. I can’t hear Coventina or even feel her. I can’t feel my Siren either.

“Well, this sucks ass.” I mutter to myself, unable to refrain from keeping my mouth shut.

My words echoed around me before they tapered off into nothingness.

“It would suck less if you just gave in to the pain.” A voice said.

I couldn’t help the scream that escaped my lips, and when I looked around me, I couldn’t see anyone.

“Who’s there? And where am I?” I shout, hearing the nervousness in my voice made me cringe.
