It was Saturday, an ordinary weekend for others but not for me.

This Saturday marked an important turning point in my life.

I went to see my parents again, after 6 years. I was anxious, stressed and especially wanted to vomit but I refrained from showing my discomfort to John since he seemed delighted to go pick them up from the airport and insisted that I accompany him.

My parents traveled from Chicago and he thought I should at least make the effort to be there when they arrived. But I didn't want to.
