AUTHOR’S POV.

“We should start going home, Daniel,” Liam said to Daniel as he returned to the base.

“Not now,” Daniel groaned from where he sat.

His eyes were pinned on the huge screen in the room as the other men were working on the laptop.

“Daniel,” Liam palmed his forehead.

Since they left home in the morning, they had not returned to the house nor had Daniel slept off or taken a bit of water or food.

He had at least slept off for about an hour and had had a bit of food to eat.

Daniel refused to do anything. He only watched as the men worked hoping a lead could come on.

“Daniel,” he called her name again.

“It’s past ten,” he added.

When Daniel did not even act like he heard him again, he sighed and went to settle on the chair beside one of the men.

Hilda’s call came in for the umpteenth time and he declined it again.

Liam pressed his lips together and clasped his hands together as he wondered if he should keep cooperating with Sapphire or if he should tell him what was going on ind
