When the men brought Kira home, she was unconscious and paled so Daniel hurriedly ushered them to her room.

“Why is she looking like this? You should have taken her to the hospital first!” He exclaimed as he stared at her.

“She was locked in a small room and according to Damien, she’s been locked up for about five days without having anything to eat or drink. I guess the aim was to let her starve to death. I’ve called the doctor on our way here and he is coming now,” Alfred said to Daniel after they laid her on the bed.

“Five days?!” Daniel widened his eyes.

He glanced at Sapphire who had a pitiful expression on her face and then turned to look at Kira whose lips were chapped dry, and her face was white.

She looked almost lifeless and if the man had not told her that she was still breathing, he would have assumed that she was dead.

“Should we give her water first? She is so dehydrated,” Sapphire said.
