34. THE STATION

We finally stepped out of the club.

The sun was still blazing in the sky and I figured that we might have spent only thirty minutes there. We still had lots of time to spare before darkness befell us and we were forced to retire to bed.

We passed those men who had been smoking and this time, their came to stand before us.

"I know who you both are," he began in a husky voice. "What I don't understand is what clean kids like you are doing in this part of the pack. You don't belong here," he laid his claim and puff out his cigarette.

My wolf spurred to life as it came on the offensive side. I was ready to beat this man to a pulp if the chance arose. I narrowed my eyes at him and waited for him to make the first move so that I would put him in his place.

Arden chuckled. "Why do you bother to do this every time, Bartho?" He asked in amusement.

"Can't you get over the fact that I own this place and you don't?" He teased him.
