44. RELENTLESS

I shook my head at the now empty terrace. I narrowed my eyes at Gael. For some reason, I did not just want to let him be. I wanted to follow him up.

I was tired of getting treated like trash by him. I was tired of getting his rejection. I wanted to get to the bottom of this and I knew that he was the only person who could reveal it to me now.

So I walked back into the building and used the stairs to descend from the top. I had no idea where he had gone. I was only using his scent to track him down.

My wolf basked in his scent. It was enjoying every bit of how it smelt. If it was up to it, then wolf would have been satisfied with sleep in a room where I got to smell him constantly.

I found myself walking down into the main hall. Dinner had not yet been served. I believed that we had all missed lunch. It did not matter. What I was about to do was more important.

I soon realized that his scent was leading me out into the open air. Until I saw him in the garage, working on his fath
