chapter twenty nine

I shook my head and tried yanking my hand out of Levi's grip but he held me down tightly then began drawing reassuring circles on my palm.

“I'll be there right by your side, Jason won't be able to try anything" He murmured but my mind still wasn't settled. Jason was pure evil and Levi was the total opposite of that. I have witnessed Jason kill the innocent before.

“Levi, he's a monster" I murmured and he sighed before pulling me into his embrace.

“Do you trust me?" Did I trust him? I knew it was probably wrong to but I trusted Levi more than anyone right now.

“Yes," I murmured without hesitation.

“Then trust me to protect you. If Jason tries to even breathe the same air you're breathing, I cut out his throat" I froze then pulled back to stare into Levi's eyes. He had said that so calmly and his face still had his familiar warmth but his eyes were a different case.
