Chapter Twenty One

Leonel's POV

On our way to the council's office, I knew something wasn't right. It's my natural instinct and I always follow it. It's always right and it always saves me.

I could smell danger away, hiding and waiting for the right moment and I cursed inwardly. I am not worried about myself, no, I am worried about the five men Travis gave to me. Atlan, Ryker, Patrick, Edward and Gunther. The asshat calls them 'elite', but the way they reacted to the sample battle earlier shows otherwise.

If I'm not careful enough, and if my instinct is right, they might be in danger.

I grunted and sighed. "So much for a hassle-free journey."

"Alpha?" Atlan questioned.

I shook my head, seeing the Council's mansion a few meters away. Screw the old bunch of Elders for choosing a remote place to build their place. They are safe as they have the highest form of security, but what about the people coming to see them? They can be ambushed on their way here.
