Hayden's POV

I was in front of the emergency room, waiting for Addison, who was being treated by the medical team. Earlier, when the accident took place, I immediately took Addison to the hospital, while the car that hit Addison left without taking responsibility. I didn't think about that. All I could think about was getting Addison away from that place for immediate treatment.

I'm really freaking out right now. If I had known that the accident was going to happen, maybe I would have insisted on taking Addison home, no matter if she refused vehemently, so that the accident wouldn't happen. Unfortunately, it had already happened, and I felt guilty for letting Addison go home alone.

Addison had just been transferred from the emergency room to the patient's room, and here I was, sitting with Addison's unconscious fingers in my hands.

Addison had a cut on her forehead and several other cuts on her legs and hands. Fortunately, there were no severe injuries, which relieved me.
