chapter 5

Amelia's Point of View:

For the past week, it's only been bullying; people would call me names like "Piggy bank," "Fat Amelia," "Moo" as if I were a cow.

They never pushed me or anything, just laugh and make fun of me.

As for Lucie, all he does is watch; he never spoke to me, just watched. The other girl with Pink hair made it worst.

Sometimes she would pour things at me, pull my hair, and put her legs out so I could fall. But she only did it when I was alone, when the boys were not with me.

As for my dad and brother, they had no idea what was going on with my school life.

They kept asking me, though, but I didn't want to tell them. I liked this town because of Toney and Frank, and I didn't want to leave.

"Is piggy all by herself!" I heard Jake said with a smirk.

His fingers laughed loudly while looking at me. But I just rolled my eyes and looked away. Just stay quiet and they'll leave.

"What, you can't talk anymore? Come to think of it, I haven't heard you speak before.

Are you a freak too?" Jake asked with a frown. I tilted my head to the side; yes, I don't talk, only to the boys.

"Let's just let her be man, she's a waste of time," one guy mumbled with a sigh.

'Thank you,' I thought in my head. Jake nods his head before letting out a breath, but before he walked away, he grabbed my head and slammed it on the desk, making me scream so loud everyone in the class turned towards us.

"Fuck dude, what have you done!" one guy yelled while pushing Jake away from me.

He grabbed my face in his hand, making me hiss before looking away when I felt my eyes water up.

"It's not that bad," Jake mumbled, letting out a chuckle, but no one laughed with him.

"Not that bad huh, why don't we try it with you," someone says from behind him.

Jake turned his head towards the voice, his eyes wide out when he saw Lucie looking at him, and he was not happy.

Before he could say anything, Lucie grabbed his head and locked him in his arms.

"Look man, I'm sorry, I won't bother her again," Jake begged. But Lucie just stared at him before looking at me, with his head tilted to the side.

He smashed Jake's head hard on the desk, it even broke into pieces with him unconscious.

"Fuck!" Toney mumbled as he walked into the classroom, the others behind him.

A gasp left Frank's lips when he saw my nose that has blood rushing out. "What the fuck happened?" Alex asked with a frown. But no one replies.

"Get her to the fucking school hospital," was all Lucie said before stomping out of the class.

I watched him walk away, trying to understand why he did that, for me? The boy holding my face let out a breath before looking at me.

"Let's go Amel-" he was about to say only for Toney to cut him off.

"She's my friend not yours, so I'll take her," he said while walking towards me. Then grabbed my hands in his.

Nodding his head, the boy took a step away from me. Then he walked towards Jake's body; him and his friends picked him up and walked out of the classroom.

"Come on," Toney mumbled with a frown. I tried giving him a smile that everything was alright.

But that only made me hiss because of the pain. Shaking his head, he walked out of the class, Frank holding my bag, while the others walked behind us.

"I'm so sorry this happened to you; we told you we will keep you safe, now this happened," Alex mumbled.

"It's ok, not your fault," I replied softly with a smile. But they just shook their heads at me, mumbling something like 'so innocent.'

"Should I thank Lucie for helping me?" I asked softly. "I don't think so, even though he helped you, I don't think he wants to be friends," Frank said.

But it's just a thank you, nothing bad right? I thought before shaking my head, Toney pushed the door opened, and we walked into the nurse's office.

I didn't see Jake here; maybe they took him home. "Omg what happened to you Love?" The nurse asked as she walked towards us.

"Uhm fell and hit my nose," I whispered looking away from the boys when they threw glances at me.

The nurse let out a chuckle before nodding her head, then told me to sit on the bed.

She grabbed all her supplies, then walked towards me.

"You have to go home and rest, ok?" she said softly. I nodded my head before letting out a breath. I totally forgot about home; what if Dad and Ace see this? I'll be off this school.

When the nurse finished cleaning my nose, she gave me a paper then told me to take care of my nose so it won't be bad later.

I said a quiet 'thank you' and walked out with Frank and the others. "Come on, let's get you home," Frank said as we walked out of school.

I gave him a nod before looking at the others, giving them hugs and a see you later. Frank and I walked towards his car.

"I'm sorry," Frank whispered. "For?" I asked with a frown, my head tilted to the side.

"Not being there to help; I could have stopped him. Lia, look at your face," He yelled while throwing his hands up.

"Is it that bad?" I asked with a chuckle making him laugh.

"If your Dad sees this, he will take you out," Frank mumbled. "I'll talk him out of it," I whispered.

"What! No, I don't want you coming back here Amelia; ain't you tired of all this?" Frank yelled with a frown.

Yes, I am tired, but I finally have friends here, and I didn't want to leave.

Frank shook his head, then drove off when I said nothing.

The drive home was quiet; he didn't say anything to me. And I was thinking of my Dad.

"Come home let's go out," Frank said as he parked in front of the house. Walking towards the door, I was about to turn the handle when the door slammed open.

"PACK YOUR THINGS AMELIA, YOU ARE LEAVING THIS FUCKING PLACE," Dad yelled while looking at me, a phone in his hand.

But all I could say was, "shit."
