The second ingredient: Tears of the black dragon
The Chinese dragon represents luck, power and strength, the dragon is the greatest of the 12 Chinese zodiac signs. The two colors on the Chinese spectrum, represent the black and white dragon, Yin and Yang they are called.
The dragons bring great wealth, power and leadership. They control the weather, rainfall, typhoons and floods. The dragons are highly intelligent, serpent-like with four legs, horns for ears, claws scales, wings spikes and a barbed tail. They have special powers, and they have the power to bring great luck or misfortune unto the humans. But every day Yin sheds tears, why does she cry?
In this little piece, you will find out why:The mighty black dragon, her name is Yin,
Yang is her brother, with a white dragon skin, The black and white dragons bring balance to earth,Bring luck and good fortune to the 12th dragon birth.Though dark in coloIt was already morning when they reached the Beijing Capital airport as they had travelled through the night. Derick had already woken up from his faked sleep, Dana then handed each of them a bottle of vamscren she had in her carry-along bag to protect them from the sun when they would highlight. They gulped it down while waiting for other passengers to come down from the plane. It was a large airport, Joana had even read somewhere that the Beijing Capital International airport was the busiest in the world, you could tell this was true by the large crowds of people going in different directions. Never had she thought that something like this would bring her here to come and experience it herself. They came down from the aircraft and went into the terminal, they walked for a while before reaching the arrival area, where the passengers met with their various country hosts and pick-ups at the airport.Their tour guide, Mirabelle was already holding a placard waiting for them t
Joana wasn’t aware before that the hotel they stayed was located right in the Central Business District. It was one of Mirabelle’s surprises but Dana had already figured it out. Their first tour destination was just outside the hotel! She had arranged a dinner for them in the Bistrot B restaurant in the hotel, but Dana cancelled it. They would throw up if they ate any human food, so there was no use letting such a fancy dinner go to waste, the only thing they could manage to do was drink, and they would do so after their tour, at the Mei Bar, which gave a breathtaking view of the Beijing CCTV tower.“Located in the south eastern part of the Chaoyang District, the Central Business District is at the heart of downtown Beijing, with convenient access afforded by the Guomao and Yonganli metro stations. Whether you’re looking for markets and shopping malls, themed restaurants or some of Beijing’s unique modern architecture, you can find it all in the Central Business District
They all took their vamscren and started out of the hotel. They boarded a taxi, and although it was a struggle to fit all of them into one, they all managed. The taxi drove them off and stopped at a street along the outskirts of the town, these streets less populated, there were plenty of buildings packed into each other, and instead of the skyscrapers that were in the business district, these areas were filled with the traditional courtyard homes, the ones you see in those Chinese historical movies, the homes were tucked away in the city’s alleyways. They continued walking until they reached the more deserted parts of the area, the housings here were less sophisticated, some were even abandoned. The commoners that inhabited the area looked at the five of them as they walked through, this wasn’t one of the places tourists liked to visit, maybe they should have dressed in rags, Dana thought. She just hoped that they would be able to get away with this.Who would
Joana never thought that she would enjoy her stay in China this much with the rest of the coven. She even felt bad that one week had already passed, and now it was time to find the black dragon. Derick was the one who even reminded her, as she had gotten carried away by the sightseeing and the good times she was having with the others. She went to her room to search her things for the map that would guide them to the temple. The Shaanxi province was quite far from Beijing, and they would have to fly the whole night to get there.“Take care of her,” Dana whispered to Derick as they began to leave Dana’s room where they usually had their meetings and headed towards the exit of the hotel, leaving Dana, Edmund and Hillary behind. They held each other’s hands and began to walk. The business district had too many people around it, and they would have to walk for a while until they reached a safe deserted place where they could begin their flight. When they did, they took off.&nbs
They were asked to wait until 10am before they could check in. Derick checked the time, it was 8:00 so they only had two more hours to wait. They remained in the reception lounge having nowhere else to go. The hotel staff, because of their waiting customers, quickly tidied up the room so their guests could move in instead of waiting for long. It wasn’t their usual check-in time, but they had to make an exception as Joana and Derick had seen the whole ruckus the angry customer caused, it was their way of persuading them not to tell anyone and pretending it never happened.Derick looked at Joana, who had already started dozing off in the couch, he hoped they would be done on time, as he was already beginning to suppress the urge to doze off too.At exactly 9:30, they were called to check in.“How much is it?” Derick asked the receptionist who was arranging the payment.“It’s 4,000 CNY per night, for the master’s suite,” she said curtly.
“Why are you standing there?” He asked her.“Nothing, I just finished taking a shower,” she said.“Really? You’ve been in there for how long?”“I don’t know, the water refreshes me,” she shrugged.“Are you going to sleep or are you going to keep bothering me?”She looked at him more attentively, he was talking to her in a neutral manner, like he was unaffected by the situation, whilst she was freaking out inside. The urge to be with Derick was not one she could suppress easily.“Well?” He asked her again, snapping her out of her thoughts.“Sorry for waking you up, I’ll sleep now.”She dried her hair with the small towel she took in her hand before climbing into the bed with him. She didn’t know if she could sleep consciously, knowing that what she wanted was right beside her. Derick slept off again, but she couldn’t. She didn’t want to take any chances by going to sleep and having those dreams again only to wake up beside the one she w
They flew to the side of the cliff and went through the falls and into the cave. They were already partially drenched from the waterfalls.Derick tried to look into the cave to see if anyone or anything was there. It was a small cave, and one would find it hard to believe that a mighty dragon would dwell here.Suddenly they heard a small feminine voice.“Who goes there?”They looked at each other, waiting for the other person to respond before Joana decided to after Derick gave her a “it’s your quest” look.“We are vampires, we have come to ask for something.”She hadn’t prepared anything to say and was unsure if she gave the right answer, but it was better than saying nothing. There was a long period of silence and Joana was beginning to wonder if the voice heard her correctly. They began to hear a small rattling noise coming from the other end of the cave and suddenly a small
“The people who blame me for the chaos and misfortune in the world today are not wrong to blame, of course, there is someone responsible for all those bad things that happen, and that someone is no other person than my brother, Yang.”Joana gasped. She never thought that the white dragon would be responsible for all Yin was blamed for, part of her wanted to say that it was a lie, that Yin might just be telling them this to get them on her side. But Yin seemed like a really nice person, and the bigger part of her told her that Yin was telling the truth. And besides, why would she need two random vampires on her side anyway?“If you think I am lying, which I know you do, check the black and white symbol representing Yin and Yang, the Tai Chi symbol. The two sides each have a small circle of the contrasting color. The two small circles represent our hearts, the black side, me having a white heart, and the white side, Yang, having a black heart.”
