Who is Her?

Daniel cannot sleep well on that night and his eyes still wide open. He looked at the ceiling and thought about the woman whom he met at the coffee shop. He did not know what he felt at that time, but she just made him amazed by the beauty of her at the first sign.

"Who are you, beautiful lady? Why did I feel that I knew you and have met you before? Did we meet somewhere or—" Daniel suddenly remembered his dream six months ago. A wedding dream in which the events and also the looks of the bride were so real.

"I know her now. She was my bride in my dream." Daniel then got up from his bed and he was excited when he finally remembered that woman.

He got his journal from his drawer and then tried to discover his note about his wedding dream. He tried to remember what month he wrote it.

"I had that dream in the summer, so it should be around June and August," said Daniel while opening his journal. He began to find out the journal's divider in June and read one by one of his notes, but he didn't find any dream about marriage.

Then he started to read his note in July. On the first and the second page, he could not find it. Then he went to the third page and he could find he wrote that he held hands with his bride. He also wrote about the bride's physical appearance that is almost the same as the woman that he met in the coffee shop. Both of them had long black wavy hair and also grey eyes.

"Oh, God! I am happy because I have found her. I knew that I would meet her in reality. Hope that she will be my bride." Said Daniel with a smile on his face.

Daniel fell in love with her and the flowers on his heart were blooming. He could not wait anymore for tomorrow because he wanted to come to the coffee shop again after working and met his 'bride'. He would try his best to find out anything about her and then get closer to her.

After he knew who she was, Daniel then could sleep for 3 hours before starting his new day and going to work.

His alarm rang and he opened his eyes. He woke up and then got up that morning full of spirit and then got prepared to go to his work. This 21 years old man worked as a courier at a well-known shipping company. His salary is enough for him to rent a small apartment and also for his living expenses with his mom.

Daniel's family was rich and his dad worked as a manager. He could earn $160.000 per year, but the company went bankrupt and his dad lost his job. He could not find a job which is better than it. He got frustrated and started changing to be a bad temper person. He also got drunk almost every day. He would abuse his wife and his child without any reason whenever she got drunk.

Daniel's parents got divorced when he was 10 years old because his mom could not stand any longer her marriage and also her abusive husband. She did not want her child to become a victim of violence.

After the divorce from her husband, Daniel and his mom lived in a small apartment until now. His mom worked at a grocery store as a grocery clerk. But for the last two years, she could not work anymore because she suffered from breast cancer. Therefore, Daniel took the responsibility for her mom after graduated from high school.

Daniel did his job with integrity. Even if the weather in that winter could make him freeze, he still delivered. He depends on this job and would do his best for customers and also the company.

Daniel had finished his delivery earlier, so he could go back home. On that day, he would go to the coffee shop for the second time for having some coffee and also trying to get some information about the cashier of the shop.

Daniel began walking in the snow that was falling from the sky. To reach the shop, he should walk around 10 minutes from his workplace. He stepped quickly because he could not wait anymore to meet Laura.

Daniel stood up in front of the door of the shop. He was a bit nervous and tried to be relaxed by taking a deep breath and exhaling it. "Relax, Daniel. Relax!" said Daniel to himself.

There was a man who entered the shop and Daniel walked behind him. That man immediately reached Laura to order coffee. However, Daniel pretended to look at the menu on the wall. He was not ready to speak to Laura because he still felt nervous. He stood next to her and stared at the menu for 5 minutes. What he did just made Laura feel weird. She looked at Daniel and then realized if he was the man who stared at her yesterday.

"What happened to him? What is he doing here?" Laura felt annoyed. As a cashier, Laura always asked all of the customers after seeing the menu, but not for Daniel at that time. 

When he realized that Laura notices what he did, he tried to be brave to come to her. He could not just stand in front of the wall anymore like stupid. He smiled at Laura but she was just flat and not smiling back at him.

"I wanna order one vanilla latte, please." Daniel started the conversation because Laura was just quiet.

"Okay." She typed the order on the cashier machine screen.

"It's $ 1.25"

After paying for the coffee, Daniel waited for it. He stood with a little bit of heartbreak. From Laura's expression and also how she spoke to him, he could feel that Laura did not like his presence. But he would never give up and would always fight for her.

The coffee for Daniel was ready and Emma would give it to him, but Laura stopped her and told her that Daniel did something odd again.

"That man comes again. He is weird."

"Weird? What did he do?" Emma was curious.

"He stared at the menu for about 5 minutes. Does he need so much time just for deciding the coffee?" Laura was a little bit pissed off.

"Maybe he likes all of the coffee on our menu and just confuses for deciding. But, is he still staring at you?" Emma tried to make an excuse for what Daniel did.

"Hmm, no." Laura gave a short answer.

"I think it is not a problem as long as he doesn't stare at you or do something bad to you. We should try to be more generous to all of our customers and you cannot show it if you don't like him." Emma tried to remind Laura to be more friendly.

Emma walked to Daniel with a smile on her face. She gave the coffee to him and then apologized to him.

"I am sorry if my friend Laura was not generous to you."

"No problem." Daniel left Emma and then went.

When he was walking, he thought a lot about what was his fault.

"I don't understand why she was so harsh. Did I do something wrong to her?" He wondered.

Daniel may feel miserable because of her at the shop, but when he comes out of that place, he suddenly feels happy because he finally knew that her name is Laura.

"I don't know whether I should come to this place or not. She seemed doesn't like it if I came." Daniel turned around and looked at the coffee shop before he left. He felt that he did not have any hope to be closer to Laura.
