Ava is laying in her bed, she breathes in deeply and sighs. "I really don't feel like getting out of bed today, I was worried sick over Roger last night but I never called him. I'm so afraid of where our next conversation will take us. " She pulls the comforter over her head and tries to go back to sleep. "I have to open the salon." Ava forces herself out of bed and walks over to the kitchen and pours herself a cup of coffee, she pushes aside the curtains by the kitchen window to see the rain pouring outside. Ava takes a shower and gets ready to leave the apartment, as she gets to the front door her phone rings, it's Roger. "Hi, How did things go last night?" Kaleb is standing on the top of the ring. He is lifting his arms in the air once again and jumps off, landing with his leg squarely across Roger's neck. Roger grabs at his neck in pain and is struggling to breathe. Kaleb lifts Roger off the floor and opens his jaws revealing his large canines and prepares to dig his teeth into Roger's throat, Rogers uses all his strength to push him back and starts swiping his claws at Kaleb, this time his claws scratches his chest causing deep gashes and sending blood spilling onto the white floor. Kaleb starts to swipe back at Roger, drawing more blood. His hits are more powerful than Roger's and he feels every painful strike, sending him to his knees. Roger thinks to himself "Is this it? is this how it ends? Kaleb is too skilled and powerful, I can't defeat him." "Let's go to the coffee shop next door." Ava points to a nearby coffee shop and she and Jessica walk over. "So what do I owe this visit to?" "My friend, Jason, the hunter called me he said there are other hunters coming to the city and they are looking for fae. that is what you are right?" Jason is sitting at a bar, enjoying a drink. he is waiting for the two hunters his uncle spoke of to arrive. A young woman with long blonde hair tied up in a bun sits next to him at the bar and signals the barman. She is wearing tight black leather pants and a leather jacket. She places her motorcycle helmet on the bar. Jason ignores her but notices her bracelet starts to glow "Could this be the hunter? But she looks so young. How could she be hunting with my parents all those ago?" She notices Jason staring at her, she smiles and reaches to shake his hand. Roger is racing down the free at high speed, trying to get to the nearest hospital. Jason is in the passenger seat of the vehicle, blood is flowing from his abdomen and his mouth. Jason can hardly keep his eyes open and drifts in and out of consciousness "Stay with me, Jason!" Roger is driving erratically and struggles to stay in his lane as he looks over at Jason, trying to keep him awake. He gets to the hospital and pulls Jason out of the car. "Someone help! my friend is dying!" Some nurses rush out with a bed and they lay Jason on it and push him into the hospital and straight to an emergency room. Roger is stopped from following them into the emergency room. Roger is clearly disturbed by the events that happened earlier and paces up and down the waiting area of the hospital. It's been two weeks since Jason was discharged from the hospital. He is recovering from his injury and has used the time to read the old books in uncle Ivan's basement, opening his eyes to the world of the unnatural and ancient knowledge used by hunters before him. It's late in the evening, he is sitting in a chair at home reading one of the books. His phone rings, Jason looks at the screen and sees that it's uncle Ivan. He has been avoiding Uncle Ivan's calls ever since being discharged from the hospital. He doesn't know how to tell him that he doesn't want to be a hunter anymore and uncle Ivan shouldn't contact him anymore. Jason knows that uncle Ivan won't take the news easily and it could lead to a physical altercation. He decides it's now or never, he needs to get it off his chest tonight. He answers the phone. Roger finds himself in a dark forest with tall trees all around him. The sky is covered with dark clouds and lightning lights up the sky along with loud rumbles of thunder. "Jessica!" Roger is panicked and is blinded by strong wind and leaves blowing into his face. "How did I get here? and where is Jessica?" Roger runs through the forest, it's so dark he can hardly see two steps in front of him. Suddenly he hears the screams of a terrified woman coming from a distance, it's Jessica "Help! Roger! Help me!" Roger runs in the direction of Jessicas voice calling out to her. "Jessica, where are you?!" roger blindly follows Jessica's voice in the pitch-black darkness of the forest and sees her laying on the forest floor with a gaping wound in her side.
