It was a night of mate revelations. I hope you are happy with Ares and Andy. If you aren't already be sure to follow me on i n s t a @rae.knight.author for updates, character depictions and more.
Augustus’ P.O.V. The blood moon was an insane night, ending with me somehow bonding with my future uncle Cas. It’s strange to think about, but also extremely comical to me. I know it going to royal tick off Aunt Zola, and Jesse both. I love my sister, but if the situation was reversed and someone I slept with ended up becoming our aunt or something, she’d be laughing so hard at me, too. I am happy she will have Liam. He’s always been good to her, and he is a good guy. Always so pure and caring towards her, but strong and protective. He is just who you would want your little sister to end up with. The events of last night played in my head in repeat. I am still worried for Ares, and as such, we have all decided skipped classes. Andy is traveling to see her grandma Rain today, and figuring out if she still has the dark magic crystal they had used on Ash many years ago. Nova, Gabriel, Ares and I are going to Jaime today to see if he has anything to help. Jesse is heading home to look
Ares’ P.O.V.Time keeps passing us by so fast. I know I don’t have a lot of time until I see her again, but I still don’t know how to use the curse against her like dad said. This new shadow that is inside me, is odd, and feels so foreign, but it is doing its best at keeping me alive Jesse had figured out how to get it to fuse with me after finding the right book back at home. We’ve been checking the sun snake daily, but the marble is still inside it. I figured it would take longer than a week, since it is dark magic from a grand witch on a blood moon night. “My air, what are you thinking?” Andy’s sweet voice cut through the silence. I had been trying to train with her and her light magic as a way to control the curse, but we weren’t sure how to go about it. It was like there was a piece missing and we weren’t sure what it was. Dad said he couldn’t tell me anymore than he already had. I liked being able to see his messages in the stars now. The stardust had opened my eyes to so many
Jesse's P.O.V. "I love you, Jesse." Liam's voice whispered in my ear, making me lose focus. Umbra's massive shadow force hit the wrong tree, almost knocking it down on someone. "For the Shadows, Liam!" I slapped his arm hard. "What's wrong with you? You can't sneak up on me like that when I'm training." He chuckled that deep belly laugh that I love to hear. "Asshole. I love you too," I muttered under my breath but I knew he heard it. "I have good news," he said with an excited grin and a twinkle in his eye. He held up the Qilin compass, letting it dangle between us. "No, fucking way! Is it time?" I almost jumped for joy thinking about it. "Yes, look for yourself." I took the compass from him, opening it to find that it was no longer spinning continuously, but pointing in one direction. A Qilin had appeared just as Percy said it would. "We need Percy and Jewels,” I said with a grin full of excitement. “Time to find us a Qilin.” “I’m ready,” he said, looking just as ready
Nova’s P.O.V. “Hello, my little star.” Manny’s voice came up from behind me, tickling my ear with its proximity. His hands gripped at my sides, filling me with the electric shock again. “Hey,” I blushed, leaning my head back against his broad chest. “Have you spoke to Auggie yet?” He asked me the question I had been dreading. “Not yet,” I sighed heavily, feeling the weight of my guilty conscious exponentially. “I don’t know how to tell him, and I’m honestly scared. I made him make that pact and then I am the one that went off and slept with someone else.” “It’s different, Nova. We knew we were fated, and with you being a siren and dragon it’s hard for you to know until you sleep with them. You were guarding your heart when you made that pact with him. You didn’t know you were going to have multiple mates, or find one so quickly. The blood moon sped everything up, showing us the bond we are meant to have.” He turned me to face him, staring into those clear blue eyes of his. His e
Liam’s P.O.V. I’d never seen a place like this before. I knew that different realms existed, but I had never seen one, never traveled to one. It was marvelous, vibrant, and wondrous. I watched as strange beautiful creatures passed us by. There was a large almost griffin-like creature in the sky, only it had a long bundle of feathers as its tail instead of the usual lion’s tail. Its feathers were all different hues of orange, blue and purple. There was some yellow, and even pinks mixed in as well. Each feather seemed speckled with stars, glowing bright almost like jewels. Every creature here seemed to shine, or sparkle in some way. The few didn’t hold a different kind of beauty, a regal or intimidating kind of beauty. There were creatures that looked almost like dragons, the same scales, and hard eyes. Only the scales were purple and green and seemed almost in the shape of leaves. There was one that was pure white with hard scales that were shaped like feathers along the side of its
Augustus’ P.O.V.I’ve had Nova on my mind all night, wondering if she was lying with Manny right now. I’m not going to lie, I’m extremely jealous, but I have no right to be. Manny is definitely her mate, and we aren’t even sure if I am or not. Of course she is going to be with him. ‘Are we going to burn away the jealousy or not?’ Bane asked, seeming almost annoyed. ‘Yeah, that’s probably for the best.’ Dad did the same when mom found out Topher was her other intertwined. It will make things easier on all of us if I’m not some possessive, jealous asshole. ‘Brace yourself,’ he warned me. The burning that radiated in my chest was indescribable. I had never been burnt before having always had control of fire. This was excruciating, like molten lava had been poured inside my body and was coating my orangs and pumping through my blood. I bit down on my pillow hard, trying not to let out the scream that was building in me. After a minute of the torture, the burning began to dissapte, al
Zerena’s P.O.V. “Ready?” I asked Tally, seeing her almost skip with joy as we walked towards the large mansion. “So ready!” She smiled that playful smile of hers, showing her inner crazy already. “Go be yourself, Tilly Tally.” “Oh, don’t worry I will be,” she sang as she skipped ahead of us towards the front door. I was surprised that Percy told me to bring Auggie. I am not sure why I need him for this mission, it seems pretty dry cut, knowing our luck though, something is bound to go to hell. Fucking, Percy, dying early and leaving me without him. I can’t lose my Ares. I refuse to lose anyone ever again, not until they are old and gray. The way Alester messed with our genes so much he has me not aging anymore. I seem to be stuck looking like my 28 year old self even though I’m almost 40 now. I am not alone as Tally, Emerson, and Kellan all seem to have stopped aging as well. I held Auggie back with me, staying in the shadows. His eyes were scanning the place all around, l
Andy's P.O.V. It's happening! I was greeted by the most spectacular sight this morning when I checked on the sun snake. The black marble was shining up at me beside the snake. I was quick to grab it and run screaming towards Ares. "It's happening!" I yelled as I ran with the marble held over my head towards the Watts siblings outside the shadow building. All three of them turned to face me like I was insane. Well, all of them but my Ares, who smiled widely at me like I was the sun itself. I was out of breath as I finally reached them. "It's done!" I smiled at them all holding the black marble out on the palm of my hand. Ares seemed ready to cry as his eyes pinked and shimmered. Auggie smiled along with Jesse, looking at Ares relieved. Ares grabbed the ball out of my hand like it was the most precious thing in the world. He squeezed the marble, breaking it in his palm. Black liquid leaked back out and with the help of Augie's shadow they fused Horatio back with Ares. The way Ares s
