What do you think of Auggie's deal with Cassie? Should he have denied her?
Nova’s P.O.V. “Ready, little moon?” Dad looked at me over his shoulder as we got to the shore, hidden in a cove away from human eyes. “Ready.” I nodded. We dove into the water together, shifting into our sirens at the same time. Dad had dark gray scales to match his eyes, with his muscles even larger in siren form. His shaggy blonde hair floated around him in a sort of halo that didn’t seem appropriate for a sire. He narrowed those gray eyes on me, taking in the changes to my siren. “Your mother told me what you had done, but I didn’t realize it had changed your siren as well. You smell like a sea witch now. You need to be careful with the sharks. They’re going to be harder to sneak by now.” Dad sighed. “Don’t worry, we can still do this, just stay close.” I nodded, swimming alongside him. He was fast, his siren extremely strong. The water was his element. He thrived in the ocean more than anywhere else. I think the ocean was excited to have him back too. I could feel it in the
Andy's P.O.V. Dad and I have been flying for hours in search of a pegasus herd. I knew it would take a while, but my impatience was growing. I want to help Arie already. I want to be able to come through with this. I wish I could remove the curse myself, but there's no way for me to do that. I'll do everything that I can do for him instead. I'll fly in the sky for days if I have to. Dad's low growl had me focusing back up. Dead ahead flew a herd of pegasus. Their white wings spread out as they ran across the sky. They were beautiful and wild, not easily tamed or caught. Although dragons ruled the sky, Pegasus gave them beauty. Their magic kept them hidden from humans, disguising them as large birds. ‘I’ll go left, you go right. We’ll separate one from the herd.’ Dad instructed me through our link. We dove down beside the herd. They neighed in complaint, speeding ahead. Dad and I flew in the direction of each other, cutting off one of the pegasus. I flew above it, shifting to my
Jesse’s P.O.V. “Don’t be stupid. Of course, we’re going off campus. Everyone else is out getting something to lift Ares' curse. I will not be the only one not doing anything.” I side-eyed Percy, who seemed to whine about having to leave. My presence prevented him from getting some extra rest after a late night of partying. “Fine, only because it’s for Ares.” Percy nodded, getting off the bed. Thankfully, he wasn’t sleeping nude this time, although all he had on was a pair of boxers. “Come on, man. Show some decency and warn us next time.” Liam complained from beside me. He was the one I went for first today. I found him awake when I knocked on the door. This morning he was exercising and I got to see his toned abs. It was difficult for me to concentrate while he was speaking without a shirt on. Despite needing to, I'm still unable to stop thinking about him. It's the right thing to do even though it's tearing me apart not to be with him. Cas has been a great distraction, and he’
Ares’ P.O.V. Everyone had gone out in search of an item needed to break the curse. I focused my visions on when I would find the great witch that cursed me, but I couldn’t see her. It was like something blocked her away from me. When I got fed up, I focused on Damon. If everyone is helping me, then they aren’t helping Jesse and I don’t want her to be forgotten. I looked into Damon’s day, seeing most all possibilities. I grabbed the sunglasses my dad gave me so that I could focus better. I didn’t want to be surprised by him today. Realizing exactly where he would be, I left the room. I traveled outside, taking a seat on the bench nearby. Sitting back with my arms crossed, I tried to appear as though I was enjoying the weather.the and I watched him talking with his friends, smiling and having fun. It angered me he could sit there like that when he’s tormenting Jesse. “I really think someone was targeting you. I mean, those pranks were really embarrassing, and all aimed your way. Do
Augustus’ P.O.V. “I’m telling you to leave it. You look better with it up.” I argued with Arie to leave his hair in the loose man bun I had pulled his hair into. I want to find him someone that will make him happy. I know I won’t find anyone at the club for him, but he can learn how to flirt better while there. Those girls will practice for him, and if he strikes out, then he has others there that he can practice on. I just want him to be happy, and I feel like he won’t move on from Nova if he doesn’t find someone. It’s not a possessiveness over Nova that is driving me to do this, it is more that I want to help him. I don’t want Ares hurting because of Nova and I. I am trying to keep my promise as best I can in this situation. “I only ever wear it up when we’re about to fight. I don’t like it up.” He pouted. “Too bad, leave it.” I raised a brow at him. He sighed, giving up on the argument and leaving his hair up. “Before we do anything, we need to spread the rumor about Damon. H
Liam’s P.O.V. I had dropped Jesse back off at her dorm to find Cas waiting for her. I could see her fighting off the smirk that threatened to plague her face. She was happy to see him and it hurt. I hope she knows that in a couple of months, I’ll be coming for her. No matter what the moon goddess decides, I will make sure she knows I am hers. I need her to know that she is my everything. “You’re quiet.” Percy complained, having yapped away for the last 30 minutes without me hearing a word he said. I shrugged at him, not saying anything. “Are you going home for the last day of the moon festival? I think I'm going to see if I can’t sniff out my mate. It’s been a few months since my birthday and she’s obviously not at this school.” Percy shook his head in disappointment. He’s the oldest of us younger kids, born in May. “So you’re going to take part in the hunt?” I arched a brow at him, wondering how Percy does with the ladies. “Yeah, I mean, if all else fails, I'll have a good night
Nova’s P.O.V."No, Dad. We have done nothing. We kissed like once." I rolled my eyes at him. "I had to ask, little moon. You know I wouldn't shame you if you had. Especially since that's the way you'll be able to find your destined one." Dad stared up at the night sky. The stars looked beautiful out there. They were easier to see here than back at the academy. "I know, Dad. I promise when I find out who my destined one is, you'll be one of the first few I tell." "I'll hold you to that." We continued to lie back on the grass and star gaze. Dad had asked me out here to talk, but never expected our conversation to be about this. Sex is always a strange topic to talk about with your parents. "You know your mom was absolutely terrible at recognizing mate bonds. I hope you're not the same way." His elbow nudged me playfully. "Yeah, mom told me about that. Sorry she made you wait so long. I am glad you did." It amazes me how much Dad and Mom love each other. They have a bond that I on
Andy’s P.O.V.“It was amazing!” I finished my story excitedly. “Wish I could take you flying one day. I think you’d really enjoy riding on a Pegasus back, or even a dragon’s.”“You’d let me ride you?” He asked, not realizing the lude way he had phrased that. My cheeks flushed a light pink at the thought. “Yeah, if you wanted to.” I couldn’t meet his eyes as I spoke. “That would be really nice, Andy. Thank you for helping me.” He took hold of my hand and pulled me to sit with him on the concrete slab at the top of the steps. His shoulder nudged my own, making me look up at him. He then gave me that beautiful smile of his that made my stomach swarm with the tickle of butterfly wings. “I will always be here to help you. You’re my air.” I gave him a small smile in return. “To be honest, Andy, I’m a little scared.” His voice sounded so sad as he looked up at the sky. “What if I end up just like my dad?” “You won’t!” I almost yelled at him. “I won’t let it happen. We are going to fix
