Dylan’s P.O.V

She twists in my arms, surprising me with a kiss before scurrying towards the pool. I know the first few feet are shallow and mostly sandy bank, and likely freezing, so when she drops down and dips her hands in with a glint in her eyes, I can fully read her intentions.

“You’d better not, That water’s fucking ice cold. You wouldn’t dare.” I warn her.

“Hell yes, I dare.” and with a whoop of delight, she throws handfuls of water to splash at me.

I hop up, charging at her like she waved a red flag in front of a bull, and she retreats into the knee-deep water, where I follow her, splashing her with my stomping steps.

“You’ve done it now" And I grab her, splashing her with the frigid water as we both laugh and shiver.

“Fuck"She yells.

“It’s fucking cold!” But even as she complains about the water, she’s reaching down, tossing more my way.
