Genevieve's POV

I slipped past the guards, searching the buildings for Thorn's room. This was stupid. I shouldn't be out here, in the cold night, wearing a black bodysuit, searching for a mate who wanted nothing to do with me.

The jackass had shown me pleasure and then proceeded to run like a fucking coward. If he was going to be a coward then I might as well reject him.

But we need him, my wolf whined. We need him.

"We do not, Eve," I told her, a stern look on my face. We did not need a coward who wouldn't even bother to fight for us.

Not like there was much to fight for anyways. I was Luna. I couldn't leave Jamie all because I had found my mate five years after I'd gotten married to him. It did not seem fair in any way. Neither did it seem like the same thing to do.

Thorn was right. It was only fair to reject him.
