After enjoying some beautiful moments together, Aoife and I headed back to the college. I wanted to stay for the entire week, but Aoife was concerned about her exams. After her exam, she promised to come back to the island with me. It did not bother me about her exams because I knew I could control the examiners and her results if she’d let me, but she warned me not to get involved. She wanted to be honest with her studies.

Her honesty and respect for her dreams surprise me. While we were in the car, she informed me about Matt’s message and the reply he had sent. She rolled her eyes at my reaction. I don’t want anybody to bother us, not even my best friend.

“I need to go to my dorm and prepare myself for my exams. I already missed two lectures.” Aoife’s eyes stayed on the road.

“Come on, Aoife. Let’s go somewhere to be alone.” Holding her left hand, I kissed it gently.

“We just left. I would love to spend time with you, but I also need to return to work. You took me that nigh
