"Where are you? I was worried sick. You left the room without a word," I scolded him.

"I'm so sorry for not answering your call. I'm at the hospital. My mom fell down the stairs, and she has a broken arm," I could hear the distress in his voice.

“I am so sorry to hear that. I want to come to see her.” I spoke.

He sent me the details and immediately, I called Matt back and informed him about Xander’s mom’s condition.

Within a few minutes, Matt came to pick me up.

“How did this happen?”

"I don't know. After your call, he told me about his mother. I hope she's alright," I replied.

"I don't understand why he didn't call me," Matt expressed his confusion.

“Let’s go see.”

We arrived at the hospital and after checking with the front desk, we ended up standing in front of the VIP room.
