~AOIFE~

As decided prior, Matt and I headed toward the address on the email. It was an old building at the heart of downtown. There was no place for parking, so we had to park a few blocks away from the building. As expected, Matt had an attitude about forcing him to go there.

“I am telling you, it’s not gonna work.”

“Let’s just check one time.” I dragged him with me.

We went upstairs and reached the fourth floor.

Future Life Magazine was the name on the door. I didn’t expect this would be the place and looked at each other with confusion. Matt’s peer told me he was about to scold me for wasting his time.

“Future Life? That is not the future I want, Aoife,” he snorted.

I was desperate enough to prove him wrong. The magazine was one of the more reputable magazines, and the sight in front of me didn’t justify the reputation.

The office was filled with papers and files on one side. Old chairs and broken windows make it look like the oldest place in this century, filled with old magazine
