"What?" Karen stared blankly at Hannah, not knowing how best to answer the question.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you in any way." Hannah was quick to apologise in case she had taken things too far with her question.
"Its okay." Karen assured her, trying to act un affected by the question although it had played a major impact on her emotional well being and state of mind. "You can take your leave now, don't worry about anything."
"Okay ma'am." Hannah stood to her feet. "Thank you for having this conversation with me." If there was anything, Hannah was truly grateful that Karen had specifically chosen to talk to her about it.
