“Do you really wanna know?” Ashley asked, playing with his fingers—fiddling with it as anxiety probably got the best of him. I smiled and took his hand to mine with a gentle squeeze as if to say ‘nothing will change’.

“I want to know.” I said and sighed. “You… you matter to me more than you think you do, my darling.”

He does and I want to know what’s going on. I don’t want to be kept in the dark when it comes to him. I know it’s hypocritical when I am also keeping a secret to him but this isn’t the time for that.
