Chapter 30

Nancy lay on her side facing the wall, her arms resting on the pillow under her face, one leg raised and bent at the knee, the other leg straight. She lay naked, with just the bedspread covering only part of her feet, as she had been before she fell asleep with Derek lying beside her. She tried to pull away from his grip but was pulled back by Derek who circled his hands about her waist protectively, leaving her hips and legs completely bare.

She lay perfectly still and managed to keep her breathing even like she was still asleep. Derek's chest was pressed against her back, the warmth of his body seeping through her own body. His arm rested on her waist tightly, one hand that went under her side was squeezed between her breasts, gently teasing one. Whether he was awake or not, Nancy couldn't tell but she could feel his breath on her neck, hot and tickling, and his hand moved slowly downward, trailing over the taut curve of her belly, then on to her hip and down her thigh.
