Wade squeezed my hand and smiled as we walked toward the building. Although he reassured me everything was going to be ok, I could see anxiety flickering in his blue eyes. He was scared, I could tell. Blaze was surely going to kick Wade's ass. Wade and I were about to be unemployed. Being a pregnant unemployed single mother wasn't sitting well with me. Well, I'm not single, but still. I need to be able to hold my own. I can't expect Connor and Wade to take Mark and me in. Oh my goodness, after everything that has happened, I haven't once thought about how all of this was going to affect Mark. I glanced back and forth between Connor and Wade and stepped back.
