SEVENTEEN YEARS AGO

Today was the last day Connor and I would be able to spend with Taylor before we all went our separate ways. Connor and I will start High School tomorrow, but Taylor has one year left of Jr. High to go before she can join us. One year and everything will go back to normal, and Connor, Taylor, and I will be inseparable once more as we all have been since Taylor was four years old and Connor and I were five.

We all made it through that one year when we were separated due to Connor and I moving on to Jr. High while Taylor was going through her last year of Elementary school. This year should be a breeze. We will still have our weekends and nights together, not to mention holiday breaks throughout the year.

Connor and I were about to knock on Taylor's door, but the door swung open, revealing Taylor's dad before we had the chance.

"Taylor has gone shopping with her mother. She protested because she would rather go with you two. Her mother taking Taylor gives us a
