Her school attendance was almost perfect to where she can slack off anytime. Not that bad in her grades if she will be absent at the acquaintance party. She thought so.
“Hey, don’t tell me you’re not interested to come?” Her friend’s mind is more advance than her.
“Hmm, I’ll be interested if you tell me who will be your date first.” For a very long time, she was her friend, not even at any moment did she remembers her friend was dating any guy. Or maybe her love life was so private for her to know it, even if she was her best friend. Though her friend has five years ahead of her, it is not a reason for her not to tell her about her dating the opposite gender.
“I’ll introduce him to you soon, don’t be so excited.” Oh, really. Her eyes broadened in surprise.
“Thank God, finally! You allow me to know your dating status. I could say, I’m not a girl anymore but a grown-up individual who’s ready to listen to some relationship matter of my best friend.” She reacted to her friend while teasing her.
“Of course, you are. You can also have a boyfriend now. I would love to know you’ll be in love with some normal guy.” Speaking of a normal guy, she’s contemplating who can be her date at the acquaintance party since she assured her friend she will attend.
“I don’t have a guy in mind though.” But she’s actually thinking of Vince or Will? They were only the guy she had known who’s following her around recently.
“How about the guy in the library? The one you’ve been dreaming of? What do you think of him, huh? Or are you thinking, your playmate friend I haven’t met yet? When will you introduce him to me? I’m quite curious about him.” Her friend thought the same thing from her mind.
Jean didn’t know Will from their childhood because she became her childhood friend when she started taking up her therapy session with Jean’s mother. And because Jean’s family wasn’t living in their neighborhood. Will’s family already moved to another hometown before she had met Jean. So basically, her childhood memory started from Jean’s existence in her life as she forgot the time, she had known Will. But her unusual dream behavior continued to bother her while growing up until now.
Now that she knew the boy’s face was Will. She is certain that her childhood dream really depicted her childhood memory that she forgot. But there’s a certain memory of her from her dream that she still can’t able to grasp. The accident that happened to her as Jean told her about it by chance when she slipped her tongue, was the thing she was thinking about now.
“Hey Jean, can you please tell me the truth? What happened to me a long time ago, I mean the accident? Well, I will somehow know it for sure. But please, you can just tell me about it.” She persistently asked her friend again, hoping she would tell the details about her accident. Jean is driving when she asked her suddenly. They’re both going to school now.
She decided not to bring her car for today as she wants to experience riding in her best friend's new Lamborghini sports car.
“Patience dear! I promise I will tell you if I am not driving my new baby right now. You know, you’re stressing me out asking suddenly with your unpredictable question.” It wasn’t unpredictable, she was just curious because it is about her life.
“Fine, when will I meet your date?” She teased her to change the topic and forget the stressful mood she made her friend. Leaving her question behind, she knows she would hear the truth, eventually.
“Later dear, be patient, okay.” She answered her, again leaving her question hanging. She suddenly remembered the man in her dreams who looks like Vince, the time when she first dreams about him. He’s the most mysterious person she had ever known. Like her best friend, he always answers her question with no clear description.
They arrived at the school. She and her best friend part their ways to head to their respective places. She went straight to the library before her first-period class begins. While walking in the hallway to the library, she had seen a familiar face who was standing by the wall while talking furiously with his phone. But he hung up when he saw her face.
“Hey, can you be my date at the party?” Wow, what a fast move not beating around the bush. She thought he has a fuming mood when she noticed him earlier while scowling and swearing with someone on the phone. She wants to ask him about it but it is not her character to snoop.
“You broke up with your girlfriend, then ask me on a date? How rude.” She did not ask him about his personal thing, but she annoyed him like she wants to tell him she caught him angrily at someone earlier.
“I don’t have a girlfriend. I heard we have an acquaintance party next week. I needed to attend because one professor of mine required us to come. She will give us plus ten points when we attend on our respective dates. And I need those ten points for me to pass that subject. That’s the reason I was furious earlier. I was talking to one of my classmates.” He explained while scratching his head and smiling at her handsomely like he wants her to help him and say yes to him.
She actually thought he was making a fast move. Well, anyway, when she thinks about it a second time. It will favor her. Giving the thought that she will have an instant date at the party. And because he felt comfortable with this guy standing in her front, with his magnetic power and attractive menace to her innocent mind, which obviously pulled her into him. She gave up again and wants to say yes to him quickly if he will ask her a second time.
“So, what’s your answer?” He read her thought maybe that he repeated his question. She chuckled in her mind as she was excited about it.
“Well, I still have no date for that party and I also needed to attend so my answer is yes.”
You had the sweetest smile I will never forget, even when I grow up. I wrote a journal from the day I met you when you played with me with your true and humble character. Thank you for all the things you helped me get through my difficulties as one pathetic outsider. I wrote every detail for you to remember every day of our days together playing on our favorite spot. Never forget me when I leave. I promise I will return to find you. Please don’t cry if you heard I left this town. My new family will take care of me from now on. I will send you letters to get in touch with you the moment I step foot on the doorstep of my new parents. Goodbye Cara. See you again when we grow old. “I have a favor to ask you for the last time we are cousins. Please give this to Cara after I leave. It will be your conscience if you will be a bad boy again.” It was the first and last favor his cousin Vince asked him before he went to his new family, which gave him the reason to retaliate against him. He’s
Tick Tock, tick tock, tick tock… The only sounds she heard at this moment are her wall clock ticking as she was in her very silent mode in front of her closet, sitting on the floor the whole time she came home from school. As she had already found the thing, she was looking for the last two weeks. Her face and body look like an ice-cold snowman, freezing to death in the middle of Antarctica while staring at the picture of Vince in the sketch. It wasn’t only a resemblance, but they really were looking so much alike. The sketch is really a carbon copy of Vince’s face like he was the model used in the sketch. Giving another thought about it. How did it happen? Yes, she already remembers the dream she had clearly. The thing with him in her dream is such an epic like she was in a fairytale. The question is how can she dream about him before she met him. Knock, knock… She quickly stood up from sitting as she heard a strange knock in her room. “Will?” It surprised her when she opened the
If he wouldn’t have the news before this night happens, his cousin is going to win this time. It’s a good thing he hired an investigator to look for him. Vince never changes, he’s always a nuisance on his way. “Hi, you’re more beautiful tonight. Don’t ask me why I’m here. I just want to see you before the party starts. I know you will be busy with your real date once you’ve entered the door at the party. But speaking of your date, where is he?” He whispered the second statement he said for her parents to not hear it. He is not the villain here, but he thinks Vince knew his place already. The reason he is not yet here. “I actually don’t know what happens. I already called him but only his voice message answered me.” She explained to him, obviously pretending she wasn’t in a mix-up with his cousin. “Hey, sweetie, what’s happening?” Her mother asked her, looking baffled about her daughter’s obviously fidgety face. But for her parents not to worry about her, “Um, it’s just nothing, Mr
“Yes, you two! The party is not over yet but you already leaving, huh?” He cried with his eyes excruciating him to remember the yesterday he went to him with the thing about their past. Cara had no fault about it, even if he scrutinized it repeatedly in his sane mind. Cara was innocent, even if she would remember all the things that happened in their past. The reason he was late and the reason he did not show himself to Cara to fetch her in their house was that he did some realization to reflect on the thing that his cousin told him. That he blamed him for everything. But he can’t remember what happened. He came up with a solution to tell her everything that he knows. He was fast enough to get closer to Cara as he held her hand to guard her against his cousin’s drunken state. “Will?” But Cara turned to his cousin as she looked at him worriedly as he noticed her face was like she was being guilty about his cousin. Despite that, she did not take out her hand from his, as he was still
“I’m sorry.”, he moaned while he pulled his lips suddenly when she was about to react to return the kiss that he did to her. She chuckled with embarrassment and pulled herself from him, as she was an inch closer to his body. “You’re sorry for what?” she questioned him, pretending she was ready to forgive him for what he did. However, her face still blushed in that shameful manner of her. “You know what, I like your cuteness whenever you have that face.” “Can you please tell me now, the thing you’re going to tell me?”, she changed the mood with her eyes narrowed and her brows wrinkled, feigning she was being annoyed by his teasing. “One thing I’ll tell you in advance if you look back in your past. Please don’t blame yourself. Because I’m the one at fault.” His teasing face suddenly changed as he went to being serious, saying all those things with her as he was being vague. “What are you saying?” she asked with her face baffling. “I was going to tell you everything but, I’m still c
“Hey, are you alright? I’m sorry if I didn’t give you heads-up before coming here.” “I’m alright. And it’s fine. By the way, why are you here so early?” She feigned a smile so he to not notice her current emotion about the thing her mom made her a while ago. “Is your mom, okay?” He questioned again with his face looking like he somehow understood the situation, but was still clueless about what was happening. “She’s okay. We only had a little misunderstanding about something, but we’re good. Don’t worry.” She answered him with her uplifting smile to hide her true feelings while her eyes were also waiting for the reason why he went to their house unannounced. “Um, I just want to see you again. I can’t able to sleep last night because I was thinking of you. Am I being so clingy?” He grinned, scratching his head sheepishly. He was straightforward, but handsomely. She beamed quietly, hiding her reaction to him. But she remembered the words of her mother, again, feeling guilty about it.
“Are you that joyful with him? I’m always seeing your wide smile whenever you’re with him. But you know, history repeats itself. Be careful with that bliss. Just warning you, my lovely childhood friend.” “History repeats, yeah maybe, but people can change that history depending upon the circumstances. I could embrace my fate even though I might wail in the end.” She claimed, even though she didn’t clearly understand the history he was saying. Whatever! Will was obviously warning her about her relationship with his cousin. Even she has wanted to warn herself. As she knows, her feelings for Vince were deepening every time she’s with him. That she also knows their thing was so vague for them to understand each other and have a clear relationship. “Well, I’m the one who cried at the party.” Will appealed, changing the topic, making her guilty about the last time. “I’m actually here to apologize for forgetting you at the party. When Vince showed his face, I thought you had seen us toget
“Vince!!! Cara!!! Where are you!!!” “Vince! Oh my God, honey! Vince is here!” He heard his mom’s voice near his location. As he woke up from his sleep as his parent’s loud voices were calling his name and Cara from his unconscious mind. Then he suddenly remembered Cara realizing she was not yet back. “Mom, where is Cara?” His dad helped him up from the pit where he and Cara fell while running from a wild pig. “That question I’m about to ask you. We just found you here alone. What happened to you two?” His mom asked worriedly. “We need to find her. She left to find some help but until now, she isn’t back yet. This place is dangerous for her. We need to find her as soon as possible.” He woke up from a dream where he dreamed of his real parents. When he opened his eyes, tears fell from his eyelids. He suddenly missed them. His real parents loved him more than enough. His real mom and dad, who saved him from a dangerous pit, are his real parents, whom he only treasures all his lif
