CHAPTER TWENTY TWO- OVERCOME BY SORROW

In her chamber, Beatrice was in pains. Nomar had betrayed her. He had not told her the truth because of a mission and now she had lost her child. To hell with the mission! Now she did not care whether an enemy army came to attack them or not. Anything could happen and she would not care about it. Her child had gone and anything could happen. It no longer concerned her.

Beatrice cried and cried, her sobs choking her but she could not stop herself. She did not even want to. She wanted to continue crying in the hopes of the tears washing away the pain and anguish she felt in her heart. She cried until her complexion was red and her face was blotchy. She no longer looked like her former self at all but she did not care. What grief could do to a person could not be minimised.

What would she do now? How could she go on with her life? Where was Alexander now and how was he feeling? These were the questions she asked herself continually without no hope of an answer. She hoped that Alexande
