Chapter Twenty -Five

Hours later, I arrived New York City. Stepping down from the plane as my feet touched the ground, it hit me instantly that I have nothing, no luggage, no destination, no money. The only thing in my hand is the cell phone given to me by Greg's driver. "The phone!" I said out loud . Quickly I proceeded outside the airport, there as I stood at the Exit way , I switch on the cell phone and browse through the contact list. Greg's number is the only contact in it as I click dial on the number while placing the phone on my left ear, the number isn't going, I hung up and dialed again but it yields the same result. I continue dialing over and over and over again but to no avail, his number is switched off. I felt frightened at this point, I am right here, at the biggest city in the world and I'm lost, I have no nowhere to go or whom to go to. " I shouldn't have come here, I have once again made a big blunder. I should have gone back home to new Mexico, to my mother." I weep sil
