Compromise

Logan's POV

Her hands tightened around my waist as she pressed her head on my chest and kept on sobbing.

I felt her hands twitch behind me, I heard her teeth chatter, she was cold we've been standing in the rain for quite some time, coupled with the fact that she has been crying.

Her tears began to subside and she looked up at me.

"Can we go home now?!" She asked quietly.

"I'm afraid not, the car is not coming on," I said.

"Come on," I said to her as I held her hands and pulled her towards an uncompleted building.

I let go of her hands immediately, we walked in, and she wrapped her hands around herself as she stood shivering in a corner.

"Sit here," I said to her and helped her seat on the floor.

I looked around for dry wood and gathered them. I placed them in front of her.

"I'll be right back," I said and took a quick run to the car to get lighter.

I went back in and lit the wood, it began to burn.
