After the bell rang, every student went to their respective room to start the class. It was already 8 a.m. when Mr. Rayven arrived at the class, making him 30 minutes late.
"Okay, here he comes, guys," someone shouted while running along the hallway and went inside the class.
Mr. Rayven smiled while walking towards his desk while simply spying into everyone’s eyes. especially to Raia. But the guy seems unbothered by his arrival. He was just looking outside the window while his hands were under his chin.
"Okay, good morning class," he said, and started the class.
On the other hand, June was intently looking for Raia. He has no idea who put that letter on his locker until now.He assumes that it was Raia, but he isn’t sure yet.
He just looked away after a minute.
"Okay class, as you all know, Mr. Fletcher is now on the other level as he is the first one to top the exam," Mr. Rayven said while smiling.
He walks a little away from the table and crosses his arms while his students are just looking at him.
"Did you enjoy the test, guys?" he asked his students.
Emma smiled and excitedly answered. "Me! me! me! I enjoyed it a lot, Mr. Rayven!" she said while smiling.
He was surprised at first, but after a second, he smirked and walked back to his desk. He sits in his chair and puts his hands under his chin.
"Oh really?" he asked, using his fake smile.
His dark intention can be seen in his eyes, but no one notices it aside from Raia, who clenched his fist while holding his notebook. He was still looking outside the building, but he was still gritting his teeth.
He waited for hours, listening to the boring lessons that their teacher was talking about. He doesn't even bother to look at the front, even if he hears them shouting or teasing someone.
Oh well, it's normal to hear college students teasing someone, so it doesn't matter, or so he thought. He just looked out the window while another guy, June, was looking at him.
He was still bothered about the letter but didn't initiate talking to Raia. The class ended an hour later.
Raia immediately runs through the hallway towards the comfort room. He closed the door and looked at the mirror. He could see his blank and uninterested face in the mirror. That made him uninterested in himself.
Others may label Raia as a nerd, but he is extremely self-conscious.He could hear the voices outside, probably some of his classmates who went to the CR together. As someone who barely makes friends with others, he doesn't know whom he can talk to.
He put his hands over his head, trying to calm himself. It's been a while since he felt this kind of anxiety. Every time he looked at Mr. Rayven, he could hear his own voice saying the exact same words he heard yesterday.
Even with incomplete evidence, he could say that something is wrong. Raia is not an idiot. He could tell it through his eyes. He's the type of person who likes to observe people. That's why he could tell if someone's lying.
And from what he saw yesterday, he could say that Mr. Rayven is hiding something.
He nervously washed his face with water and then looked at himself through the mirror again. Seconds after he heard someone knock on the door.
"Hello? Is someone out there?"
Raia, who was surprised, immediately shook his hands off the water and went outside. But he didn't expect June to be waiting on the other side of the door.
Both of them looked at each other, surprised. June was about to open his mouth to say something, but Raia immediately got out of his way and walked out of the room. June, as if he didn't expect that, just shrugged his shoulder and went inside.
Raia was actually hesitant about whether he would talk to June or not. Besides, he put his letter in his locker last time.
'But why would June talk to me? He's not my friend either... I guess I should've shut up and forgotten everything, 'he said to himself, and went back to the room.
On the other hand, June, who had just finished his time in the comfort room, went back to the dormitory. The class has already ended and he already wants to sleep.
He wandered his eyes around the room, and since there was nothing to see, he just went back to his bed and lay down in bed. While looking at the ceiling, he heard his friend, Kanaye, call him from the outside.
"June!! I know you're there! Come out! " Kanaye demanded, as if he was the boss.
June clicked his tongue and covered his ears with pillows. He knew what Kanaye wanted. He's been bugging him since earlier in the morning. Kanaye wants to go to the third floor dormitory with him again. Since Kanaye was a natural-born social butterfly, he befriended Tobi, who seemed to be staying on the third floor. That's why he wants to visit them.
After a while, it seemed like Kanaye gave up and went ahead.
"Tsk! I already told him so many times. Why doesn't he want to go out sometimes?" Kanaye asked himself and continued walking away.
He had no other choice but to go there by himself. Meanwhile, June seemed like he was smiling after hearing the footsteps of Kanaye slowly disappearing.
He sighed and looked at the ceiling again. It only took a matter of minutes before he fell asleep.
A bell was heard around the dormitory that made June wake up. He slightly opened his eyes and saw how dark the room was. He slowly but carefully brushed off his eyes, trying to cope with the darkness.
"Is it night already?" he asked himself, a very obvious question. He even covered his mouth as he yawned wide open.
He slid his feet onto the ground, trying to find his slippers before he went to the table and opened the lights. He immediately felt the blinding lights and it took him seconds to adjust his eyes.
He was about to go back to his bed and put on his clothes. Yes, he unconsciously took his clothes off while he was sleeping earlier. And that's no surprise to him. Besides, he could feel how hot it was in here.
But when he was about to put his clothes on, he heard an aggressive knock on the door.
Knock, Knock
His eyebrows narrowed when he opened the door and saw an unexpected guest.
"H-hello?" he asked. He was still half-clothed as he hadn't finished wearing his shirt.
"I...-" Raia doesn't know where to start. That makes him look down.
"What is it?" June asked, and he put his clothes on.
"I assume you received my letter, don't you?" Raia asked and looked at him.
"Ah, ye-yeah, about it. Honestly, I don't know what you're talking about," he answered honestly.
"I don't believe you. I know you heard it too, right?" Raia asked him again. The guy seems to be desperately looking for someone who will think the same way that he did. But June has no idea what he's talking about.
Yeah, he could see how awkward that situation is. He could feel that something was wrong with Raia when he went there last time, but he didn't care what it was. That's the kind of person June was.
But Raia, who seemed to be trying to have someone to talk to about that thing, assumed that June would understand what he was talking about.
"Wait...Raia, I don't really know what you're talking about. I'm really sorry," June said, uninterested in what they were talking about. Besides, he doesn't even care about it at all.
But Raia still looks at him in the same way. He could see how eager Raia was while looking at him. After a second, Raia looked to his right and seemed to hear someone coming.
"I'll wait for you at the library!" Raia suddenly said and hurriedly ran away. June can feel nothing but confused.
"What a weird guy," he thought, then closed the door. Actually, Raia sent him a letter, assuming that he knew something weird about the university. Well, as for June, the only thing that makes this university for him is that it is on an island. Other than that, there's nothing suspicious at all. That's why he can't understand Raia's paranoia.
He was also given a warning to not trust anyone, even the instructors. But June obviously didn't buy that joke. Besides, it's part of his personality to trust anyone so easily, just because it's a drag to think if someone can be trusted or not.
He just shrugged his shoulder and went back to his bed. But just as earlier, he was not even in front of his bed when someone knocked on his door again.
"What is it this time?" he asked himself and lazily went towards the door and opened it.
"June! Open the d-"
Kanaye wasn't able to finish his words when June opened the door, wearing his bored face.
"Kanaye?" June asked him and looked at his friend.
"What are you doing here?" he asked again.
"Ahh... actually..."
For the second time, Kanaye didn't finish his line when someone popped in front of June.
"Hello, June!" Emma suddenly appeared in front of him, smiling like an angel.
"H-hi?" June nonchalantly answered her. He doesn't know what is happening, but he just realized that someone is being pushed towards him.
"Mae wants to talk to you," Emma said, and aggressively pushed a girl towards June. He wasn't able to dodge her and had no choice but to hold the girl's arms.
He could see how surprised Mae was, maybe even she didn't expect what Emma did.
"E-emma... s-stop," she even retorted, but it's too late.
"Wa-wait..."
"I'll leave her to you. You're free to do whatever you like," Emma said, then winked at him. She even smiled at her friend as if saying 'good luck friend', and then she forcefully closed the door from the outside.
Even Kanaye didn't know what happened and just put on an innocent face while June was looking at him. He didn't know what Emma was talking about; he was just asked by this girl to show where June's room was, and he simply obeyed it.
Honestly, he's innocent, right?
Anyways, Mae and June, who were left inside the room, remained silent while looking away from each other.

Silence. No one spoke between us. I don't even know what to talk about anyway. I looked at her and saw her roaming her eyes around my room. I bet she's disappointed, huh?Besides, as usual, there is nothing special about this room. Honestly, there is only a bed, a table, and one chair in each room. And it's up to us how we design our room. But for me? Nothing.I just put my clothes inside the cabinet near the table and put a picture frame on it. It was my picture with my mom when she went abroad.Anyways, aside from that, I don't put anything inside this room. Let's say I prefer to be in a minimalist room. Besides, it's a drag to design my room more than this.I sighed when I saw her looking at the ground. It seems like she has no idea that it's pretty uncomfortable to see a girl inside a guy's room. Well, I don't mind since I don't care, but I just want to be alone right now.I started to talk to her but immediately stopped when she looked at me.I thought she'd been sufficiently di
Mae woke up early, as expected of her. Well, she just got lucky yesterday and got a date with June. Oh well, thanks to Emma, she might say. She smiled as she remembered that time. Knock, knock. Her daydreaming stopped after she heard the noise from the outside. "Yeah?" she answered and walked towards the door. "Mae! It’s me. Are you going for breakfast?" She could hear Ivy’s voice from the outside. She's probably with Emma. She responded by lowering her body onto the bed as if cleaning it. "No thanks, I'll catch up with you guys later. I'm still doing my bedsheets, "she answered. She could hear the slight pause from the outside before she heard their footsteps moving away. "Fine, get it done earlier, okay? We’ll wait for you, "Ivy said, then walked away. "Thanks!" She sighed as she realized that they were now gone. "Sheshh," she said, looking at her breast. She’s not wearing anything on top aside from her bra. She could see how big it was. She just woke up like this and is s
[Raia's POV] The class ended so fast after that announcement. As usual, we need to talk to our partner about what we need to do. I slowly looked at the guy at the back. He's still as intimidating as ever. Geez, how could I ever talk to him like that? I sighed, then continued arranging my things inside my bag. I was about to stand up when I heard Mr. Rayven, who's now standing beside me. "Mr. Raia," "Y-yes, sir," I said. I was actually shocked at first and didn't know how to reply. I'm not a social type of person. I could not even make friends since middle school, and it's pretty obvious that I had never talked to a teacher in this way. That's why it's awkward for me to talk to him personally. "Are you okay? I hope you're okay after what happened last time," he said to me while smiling. Last night? Did something happen last night? I looked at him confused. But just like him, he seems confused too. "Ahh, I think you forgot... I saw you yesterday at the library, right? What I me
The room was filled with the sounds of students who were busy chatting with their friends. Raia, who is now at the front of the door, looked around the room until he saw Osamu looking at him. "Raia!!" Osamu called him while wearing his big smile. Others looked at Osamu as if it was their first time hearing him talk to someone. Raia shyly walked toward him. Some of his classmates looked at him too, but he decided to ignore those stares. "I called you earlier at your door, but it appears you're still sleeping," Osamu began as they sat in their chairs. They are sitting across from each other, with Osamu at the back. "Ahh yeah, I didn't hear the alarm, that's why I woke up late," he answered, then put his bag on his side. They waited for a moment before their instructor arrived. It only took several minutes before the activity started. The students assemble in the big and wide gymnasium inside the building. It was located between the dormitory and the research room. Every student, as
With a single blow from his whistle, Mr. Rayven starts the game. The students, who were just standing in front of the door, walked inside. June and Amelia walked side by side, still observing the others. While Kanaye, who seemed a bit worried, walked behind Aki. He looked like a scared cat who was trying to hide. "Kanaye?" With just one call, he immediately went in front of Aki, as if he hadn't been hiding a while ago. "Yeah?" he asked, then he saw her looking at the right side. He slightly looked in that direction and saw the surroundings. Inside the room, there are different rooms. Other students stand before the door as if waiting for it to open. "Hmm, I think we should pick our own door too." Aki concluded, and without his consent, she walked straight to the door in front of her. "Ah-w-wait!" he said and slightly ran after her. Meanwhile, June and Amelia walked toward the other door. Ever since they entered the room, no one bothered to talk between them. They stand before it,
While Amelia was reading the next question, June suddenly felt bored. It’s almost 15 minutes after his partner went inside that room, and yet, they are still on the second question. "Just how hard could those questions be?" he asked himself while both of his arms crossed each other. He slowly looked at the ceiling as he thought of Kanaye. 'Maybe there won’t be any problems, wouldn't they? I think he should be okay. He was with Aki anyway,' he said to himself and looked down again. The other students, like them, are preoccupied with solving the riddles. Others think that this was the most difficult thing for them to solve because all of the questions required them to think outside the box. While others think that this game was a piece of cake, well, at least for someone who was known as being a prodigy. Raia just looked at Osamu as he continuously answered 4 consecutive riddle puzzles. Both of them decided that Osamu would take the easy and difficult levels while Raia would be part
Almost all of the students finally finished the easy level. Ryota, who seemed tired, sat on the ground. His partner, Eva, went beside him. "Tired?" She asked him, then gave him a bottle of water. "Nah...I just felt my feet get numb," he answered, obviously lying. Eva just smiled at him. She has been by his side for years and has become close to him. There's no way she could not read his expressions and feelings. He's like an open book to her. But instead of saying more than that, she remained silent and just looked at the front. They just finished the last task at this level and were about to go to the average level. For some reason, Ryota felt pressured and exhausted. He knew in himself that those questions were nerve-wracking. Unlike the questions given to the other students, Ryota's questions are much more difficult. It's as if someone is making it really hard for them. Mr. Rayven, who was looking at the monitor, clicked his tongue when he saw that Ryota had a passing number of
Raia looked at the surroundings while waiting for further instructions. It's been five minutes since he went inside this room but until now, he can't think of anything because of his nervousness. His hands are shaking while his eyes can't stop looking around the room. The walls are covered white while there are some cabinets at the side. There are some maps and other books, seems like props for Raia. After several minutes, he heard something from the other side of the room. He was sitting in front of the transparent glass. In this way, he could see whoever is on the other side of the room. A guy, probably 5'3 in height came over while simply looking around the room. He has this muscular body that, no doubt, one of his assets to attract girls. Raia felt insecure for a second. He looked like a lost kitten for a second until he met Raia's eyes. He slightly bowed down and smiled a bit. Raia's eyebrows furrowed as he was not familiar with this guy. "As far as I know, he's a friend o
