Chapter 28

The conference was going to last until late at night. Joshua wouldn't be home anytime soon. That was one of the reasons why Natasha had been willing to return to Grayson Villa now.

She inhaled deeply before entering the place.

Lorelei was knitting in the living room when she looked up and suddenly caught sight of Natasha. At first, Lorelei thought that she was mistaken. She rubbed her eyes and realized that it was indeed Natasha!

"Tasha? You're back? Are you here to visit me or Josh?"

Lorelei got up and tugged Natasha toward her as soon as she recognized her. "Josh hasn't come home for a long time. I haven't seen him much lately, either. I'll give him a call and tell him to come home now."

She then took out her phone to make the call. But Natasha immediately stopped her and said, "Lorelei, please don't. I'm not here to see him."
