CHAPTER 17

"Now where will I get money?" That's what I asked myself before sitting on a bench I saw in the park.

I want to earn money but I hope I don't have to work anymore. I mean, I'll only do it for one day but I'll have money right away. Is there such a thing?

"I never expected I'll see you here."

I turned to the man next to me who was just sitting next to me... He was Alec.

"Oh, hi!" I greeted him.

He flashed a smile at me, revealing his deep dimple in the left side. "I was working nearby, I often come here during our break time."

"You? Why did you come here?" he asked.

"Ahh, I just went to see someone."

"It was not my intention to overhear what you mumbled earlier..." he said. "You are seeking money, aren't you?"

I immediately looked away with shame. It was embarrassing and he even heard that, I couldn't look at him.
