23. Garland Ceremony

The laughters and happy tears were at peak but as soon as Avni's eyes met with her daughter's eyes a thin layer of sadness coated her eyes. The happy tears soon turned into a sad one as the grief of being parted from her daughter once again, laced her heart. Getting closer her hands made the way to her face and gently caressed her cheeks making Dia froze. Her eyes welled up tears too as the separation which after years were getting less was about to come back again.

A lone tear escaped her eyes with a throaty sob and she quickly buried her face thinking it will be a safe place for now making everyone still as their laugh dies down. Avni embraced her tightly in her arms as Dia gripped her hold tight and both started crying and weeping holding on each other.
