We rode quietly on our horses, each attached to a four-wheeler wagon. Both of us were lost in our own thoughts. We have four days ahead of us, four days of unpredictable fate. I'm going all the way out of this territory (probably) to find some people that taunt me in my dreams, it's a typical delusional step to take I must say. But that's the only thing my head tells me—to find them. We headed towards the sacred house first. I'd like to see my sister first before going further into this ridiculous journey.
At the sacred house, I met them training. The royal living room had been rearranged amusingly and the sight of the two sparring partners caused flusters in my stomach. They are stopped as soon as they noticed I was there. Alistair had a grin on her face and Emiliar, she caressed the cut on her arm painfully.
“ You always end up hurting yourself Emiliar. ” I attacked.
“You shut up! ” She spat, dropped her hurt arm and dragged me in
"She said I've met my mother before." Emiliar finally broke the silence that has enveloped us ever since Alistair left our midst. "But I don't think I have..."" Forget it." I winced. "Forget whatever my sister said. You are thinking too much, that won't help. All these things will reveal themselves later." I was speaking from experience. I dragged her off her seat."let's go check what they're doing out there."We hid behind the door. They were both talking. Alistair had her usual smile while he, his usual grin. She was wear some things on him. Alistair always had jewels to give. I was killing myself deep inside as I watched the both of them. Guilts? Yes. I've made a grave mistake by falling in love with a demon. I might end up just like my parents." Did you tell her about Joel and I?"I asked Emiliar who was rather lost in her own thoughts."Huh...you said?"She asked."Didn't I ask you to forget?""You know it's not that easy..."She hissed.
"What brings you to my little home your highness?" The old man said."We were on a mission, of course sent by the king. We stopped by to rest since it's late. Would you accommodate us for this night?"I answered him.The old man smiled, his wrinkled face shone in the darkness of the room. How demons love darkness. Though, I could see a lantern burn at the far end of the room."I'll be honored to have you in my home.""Roy, prepare them a room." He instructed his youngest son. I noticed they didn't have a mother or maybe she doesn't live with them. The house just looked small, it was really big inwardly."What would you like to eat your highness? We have meatballs and some vegetables.""We are very okay. We just need rest now" I answered. I think I'm the outspoken one, Julian was momentimarily mute. "Thanks for the offer."Roy later announced that he'd prepared the room and we could go in. The old man apologized that he had given only one of hi
The next morning, when we were ready to leave. My instincts told me I was leaving something behind. Though, i didn't know what exactly it was. I check all I brought into the house, even Julian's. We were both ready and we had all our things with us. Then I had to reason myself. Maybe the being I'm searching for is here."Can I see all your sons? "I said to the old man who had smiles all over his was since the morning fell. It must have been with great honor that he has received us. Who else wouldn't feel that much honor anyway? He called out the six of his son, the same one I saw the night before. If any of the beings I'm searching for is among them, I would have felt our connection the very first time I saw them. When I started to doubt my instincts. I asked my final question."Are these all of your son's?" I asked him.The old man nodded. "These are my sons Milady."Julian was already looking at me strangely like I'm hallucinating. Like he said t
"What's wrong Katrienair?" Julian asked. He's asked that countless times during our journey. The young boy who rode with us just had a questioning look on his face. I could read his thoughts, he was worried and I sent to him at intervals that everything is alright. As for Julian, I wish he could just stop thinking. I feel so guilty for ignoring him but it's just the best. We stopped under a tree shade to rest, considering the fact that Azazel might be exhausted from the long hard ride.Julian fetched water from a nearby pond while we settled under the tree's shade. Azazel consumed the water in haste."You were that the dehydrated and you didn't say a word?"I asked him."I'm sorry Milady. I didn't want to bother you."He begged.Luna playfully wriggled around him. At first, I thought he'd be afraid. He should be-- Luna is a grown wolf, but he wasn't. He teased her ears with his hands."You are not afraid of her?"I asked, trying to create a co
Julian started to worry about Katty's whereabouts. She left without saying a word. He told Azazel he would go find her but Azazel insisted he would follow. He searched all the room around and didn't find her until he got to the one , where he saw Katrienair'a ring on the floor by the door. It must have dropped from her hand when she broke in. He knocked on the door but it was shut and he could hear cries. Infuriated, he broke in. What he saw shocked him. Katrienair was at the corner the rooom, face pale white in the pool of her blood and Luna limp by his side. A man totured a lady, whipping her mercilessly. He knew immediately that he was the one who maimed Katrienair. In rage, he roared. "How dare you?!"He grabbed the man's neck. So quickly, his demon grew out, choking the other with all he's got.Azazel and the lady ran towards Katrienair. Her wounds weren't closing up, that got them really scared. The lady tried all the spells she knew but none worked. Azazel decide
Raleigh decided to explore his new discovery. The last time, he had seen katrienair and Julian stop at the sacred house. Since then, he had believed that there was something hidden there he's going to unravel while they're gone. That morning, Alistair and Emiliar were making breakfast in the kitchen when they heard the sound of a horse hoof. They were shocked to their bones."Is katty back?"Emiliar asked in shock."so soon?"Alistair peeped through the window in the kitchen. "It's a man. Not katrienair. Come see for yourself."Emiliar gasped. "It's dark. His aura. He's a demon. We're toast!""We're not toast. He can't enter."Alistair assured her."It's big risk Alistair. No one must know that you're here. They'll try all ways to get in." Emiliar said. That sent shivers down Alistair's spine. Images of how she was tortured in the past flicked through her mind. She knelt by the window and prayed silently.Emiliar knelt by her side. "I know that
The next morning began in solemn silence. The group slept in the woods, out in the cold though the new lady prepared a fire. No one really slept, except for Azazel who was probably very exhausted from his first fight. They were all quiet, lost in their own thoughts and Katrienair tried as much as possible not to groan in pain. The morning sun only woke their senses. The laid who cradled Katrienair throughout the night asked if she was awake and feeling better."I should be fine, right?" Katrienair winced. "The wounds are closing up already.""What about the pain?"She asked."I don't know."She helped her up. Julian and Azazel left to tend the horses. The lady stared at Katrienair, worry written all over her face."I'll be fine. It's just..sad that..."She trailed off. It's sad that she has become ordinary all of a sudden. What sin has she committed to deserve this? She feels like she's lost herself completely. It's a shame!"That you lost your powers? Ri
"Oh I am."She chuckled. There was a rustle in the bush around them. At first, they ignored but later, Katrienair became alert. She looked around, for Luna and discovered she wasn't with them."Did Luna follow us here?"She asked Julian."I don't think so."He responded."She'd be with the new lady."He saw how serious and worried she suddenly became and wanted to reassure her."We should go."Katrienair turned to leave but the rustle was heard again from the bush. They turned to check."Did you hear that?"She asked Julian who nodded. They scanned the bush but found no one."There's no one there. It must be a..."Before he could complete his sentence, a short spear flew through their direction. It was aiming for Julian's chest but Katrienair caught it just in time. She shrieked in pain as the spear cut through her palm. Julian tried to help but the attacker was faster, he came out of the bush where he hid and grabbed Katrienair's neck befor
