I balled my fists and my eyes shut in irritation. I walked off my desk and signaled Sydney not to move even for a bit. My system was screaming for anger -- for jealousy, perhaps. I was already frustrated after hearing the news that my secretary told me early in the morning yet Daniel, the most obnoxious man in the entire world, just worsened my headache.
"Where are you going?" Sydney inquired me before I could reach the glass door. "Please, don't hurt him, okay? He's my friend. He's somehow close to my heart even though he keeps bothering us. Please?" Her eyes were watering, making me realize that Daniel wasn't just a normal man for her.
