Dainin's mind raced with strategies of how he'd get Tessa away from her brother's body if things went south. She was already trying to free herself from his arms. He understood she wanted to help Milo in any way she could and was feeling helpless, but as Ingrid said, all they can do is wait.

"Leah, what are you doing," Dainin asked through their pack link, cautiously watching the she-wolf approach Milo's pale lifeless body, but he was answered with silence. He also noticed Zander was struggling to hold Cadence back. Her darkened eyes were locked on Tessa, and it was clear she didn't like the way Dainin was handling her Alpha, even if it was for her own benefit.

"Milo," Leah whispered, reaching the altar with her fists clenched tightly at her sides. "You won't do this to us, to your sister! You need to wake up, now," she yelled beside him. "You can't come back and tease us with the hope we may have a life together," Leah cried, throwing her body over his chest.
