“I think that's my cue to leave,” Ayaka said. “Sky must be waiting for me anyway.”

“No need, we were going to leave. I'll bring her back in a few hours.” He threw her over his shoulder and took her to their room.

He sat her on the bed and then sat next to her.

“Before I forget, I got you something.” He pulled out the pack of clips from his pocket.

“These are nice. You didn’t have to.”

“I know but you did say that you kept losing them. I stopped by a store after class the next day.”

“Thank you. Something's different about you, but I'm not sure what.”

“You must be talking about how I'm three inches taller now.”

“What, no fair.”

“Yes fair.”

“Don't.”

“Ok. I'm not going to say that you look smaller now.” He teased.

“You ass.” She threw a pillow at his face. “I knew you had something to say.”
