Chapter 21: False Alarm on Drug Trafficking

"Now that you mentioned her. I wanted to run something by you," Mrs Morrison began. "I advise Alice to take your place and use the scholarship to further her education," she said and Ana just stared at her mother.

"Well, it is okay. That scholarship can't go to waste. There is no way I can use it anytime soon in my condition," Ana said after sighing. "It was my dream ticket to change this family's life but Mother Nature has a different plan for me," she added.

"Ana, I know this scholarship was your opportunity to secure your dream job. This is my fault. I will do everything within my power to fix this," Mrs Morrison said and her words made Ana tear up.

"Mum, don't worry about it. You didn't bring this illness upon yourself. Please don't blame yourself. With the scholarship, Alice can go to school. I will look for a job to take care of your medical bills. Please don't stress yourself. Stop working at the restaurant. I will do my best to take care of you," Ana promised and Mrs Morris
