Chapter Sixteen

The day flew by as Cindy and I kept each other occupied telling stories of what we’d been through over the last four weeks.

While I was learning to be a fairy, she was receiving very intense lessons in vampirism.  Listening to her tell her tale, I was surprised at how complicated being a vampire actually was.  Theirs was a life of rules and regulations. 

She’d been instructed on the correct way to feed.  The correct food source.  The correct time of day to feed.  The correct time of day to go outdoors.  The correct way to address a vampire who was fifty years or more older than her.  The correct way to walk, talk, dress - and the list went on and on.

“It’s a wonder you didn’t go mad with all of those correct ways to do things,” I said.
