Chapter Fourteen

The sun was coming through the window at such an odd angle. Like it was the afternoon. The sun shouldn't be up at all right now, why hadn't Eliza woken me up for the morning farm chores? Had her alarm not gone off as well? I relished in that for a moment, allowing myself to revel in the extra hours of sleep I had gotten. But I still felt as if I had gotten up at four and worked my ass off and before that, I had gotten horrible sleep. My body felt weak and fatigued.
