Shaking my head, I proceeded to get the remote and turned on the 32" flat screen mounted on the wall at the foot of my bed. Flipping through, I noticed there were a few added amenities, such as Netflix, along with other networks to keep me occupied during boring days.

We had cable back home. My parents could never afford a smart TV and trust me, it didn't bother me in the least. It was as if all the things I wished I had as a kid eventually became meaningless the older I got.
