After I met with Kael, I was worried about what happened when Natalia visited. She kept saying some inane things, something only an insane person would say. It also bothered me how she used Amelia’s name to threaten Kael. But I think what bothered me the most was how calm she was while being taken away. She said Kael will never be able to see Amelia again. Somehow her words affected me.
“Is everything alright with you, Terrence?” Aira’s voice snapped me out of my trance. I didn’t realize that I’ve been staring off into nothing again. [Terrence]“Are you sure, babe?” I asked. She turned to me, her face showed determination, I didn’t think I’d ever see her this excited before.“Yes, I’m sure! Let’s do it!” She said while pumping her fists in the air. I couldn’t help but chuckle after seeing her act like that. Well, I guess she really wants to help Amelia, after all she did help us. The following morning, I picked up Aira bright and early so we could start our sleuthing. As I parked in front of her house waiting for her, she came out wearing something I’ve never seen her wear before.[Terrence]“Are you wearing jeans? And is that a baseball cap?” I said as she entered the car. Aira has never worn jeans in her life. She only wears the finest dresses and skirts. [Terrence]“I think we missed out on following her, babe. I think she’s already met an accomplice, or worse, she went to see Amelia.” I told Aira. She shook her head and she pointed to her once more.“I don’t think that’s the case, babe. Look, she’s wary for some reason. I think she’s just getting something from her room but I’m sure she’ll be heading out again.” Aira said. “What do you think she’s doing in there, babe?” I asked Aira. She was still pretty focused on looking at the mirror and waiting to see Natalia walk out of that apartment complex. [Kael]After I got home from work, I focused on the new product’s launch. I don’t want any more problems popping up so I’m making sure that everything goes smoothly. I buried myself in paperwork so I wouldn’t have to think about bad thoughts. I wanted to believe that Amelia is safe somewhere and she left out of her own volition. I don’t want to even think about the possibility of her getting hurt because of me. I tried not to think about it but it was getting harder and harder to stop. I just wish that she’s happy right now. [Kael]“Sir, we have investigated the address that you provided. Based on the unit number of the apartment complex written on that address, a different tenant has been living there however, upon further questioning, the lady seemed to be hinting that she knows something about those bento boxes.” The PI reported. My mind was a mess right now. There was too much information and I couldn’t fully grasp everything. But I did realize something; if the delivery boy picked up the bento box from a different unit, that must mean that someone is keeping Amelia from sending a message to the outside and the person living in that unit is helping her, which could only mean that Amelia must be somewhere near that lady’s unit.“Check the neighboring tenants of that lady. [Kael]“Terrence, I just got off work and I’m heading to the coordinates you sent this morning. Can you tell what you and Aira saw while following Natalia?” I asked. Before I could even start driving, Terrence stopped me.“No! Don’t go to that apartment complex just yet!” He said. I quickly rebutted and asked him why not. He told me that Natalia must have someone inside that apartment complex that’s guarding Amelia. In any case, if we barged in there without knowing what unit she’s in, whoever is guarding her can easily alert Natalia and they can escape and take Amelia away.
