"Why do I feel so pathetic? Am I so desperate to beg her to pretend to love me?"

After Vivi had fallen asleep again under the influence of the medicine she had taken, Darren went downstairs and sat in front of the bar to calm himself down with a bottle of wine. And as he thought about what he had said to Vivi earlier, he felt an instant regret that made him feel like a stupid man.
