I got to the scene I was certain the accident had occured but other than the place being out of access, a few other people were scattered around with news reporter talking to their specific cameras.
There was a heavy traffic jam, knowing this was a major route in the city.
The murmurs were deafening and they blended into one voice. The smell of blood made my stomach clench tight. I turned to look at the woman standing next to me, her phone serving a camera purpose as she took snaps of the disaster.
"Excuse me, what about the people involved in the accident?" I had to know.
"They were driven in an ambulance to City hospital I think, that's how much I know." She said with a smile, returning her focus to the action she had been performing.
"Oh dear God." I found my way out of the crowd. There was no way I could find a cab to get me there in time when considering the hold up that was in front
The phone in my hand stopped ringing. I sighed in relief, hoping they would give up and ask the receptionist for information instead.I was about to turn around when I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Mom?" I tried to sit up but I couldn't do so, thanks to the hospital equipments that had me clipped to the bed. My eyes went wide, how could she have seen Nikki? This was doom for us. What was the point if everything? How could Nikki have been so careless. She heaved a sigh, "I know it was her. I met her gaze as soon as I walked into the building and as if she was trying to confirm my suspicions, she ran off without wasting any more time." She paused to look at me for a while, Chad, why would you lie to me?" She didn't sound as angry as I expected her to be. I knew there was no point in attempting to hide the truth from her anymore.I hadn't thought anyone would be able to recognize Nikki if they saw her without the expensive makeup from that day. She looked nothing like the same person in ny opinion and the mere fact that my mother of all people noticed the woman, was everything. She wasn't that pretty, was she?"Mom, I
RebeccaI went into the room, not bothering myself with his mother. They were both up to no good and from the look of things, she wasn't going to be telling me what they were doing and so I knew the best thing to do was to hear it straight from the horse's mouth. She had been repeating Mandy is ever since she walked out of hat room and none of that was healthy for my impatience. It was only a matter of time before I got mad and took things far.Chad fluttered his eyes open when I walked into the room. I had almost pushed his mother to the floor when she wouldn't stop tugging at my arm, trying to stop me from going into the room, and nothing honestly vexed me more."Chad!" I took angry strides to his side of the bed and sat in front of him. "What do you mean Nikki looks like Mandy? Who the fuck is Mandy and why did your mother sound disappointed to find out who Nikki really is?"
I gave Chad another phone call when I accepted their request. I had thought deep about it and it made no sense for me to drive back to the hospital especially considering how far it was from my house."Hi, sorry, are you still with Chad?" I called through the phone when his mother picked up."I am, dear, are you on your way yet?" She wondered, probably thinking about why I had called back so soon."No, no." I shook my head. "In fact, I called to... let me speak to Chad please.""Okay." She said and I heard a few strides in the background before she put me on the phone with Chad."Hey, okay, first, nothing gives you the right to call my mother when you feel like it." He began. Rude much?I rolled my eyes at him and heaved a sigh."Look, I'm not calling your mom for any special reason whatsoever. I wanted to talk to you." I scoffed. He thought he had t
I closed my eyes, unable to process the right emotion to feel. Before I could mentally catch up with the fact that he had just kissed me, his hands trailed from my face to my waist. He withdrew his lips from mine so I could catch up with breathing. He buried his face in my neck and kissed it softly. His face continued downwards and he buried it between my chest.
I moved to my left and squeezed myself the huge sized 'pillow' lying beside me. It felt so comfortable and I knew I didn't want to get up for any reason whatsoever. In my subconscious state, I remembered that I wasn't home, and that the pillow was none other than Chad. I snapped my eyes open and sat up instantly.
I shook him in fear. Although I hadn't done anything to him, I knew I was the only one taunting a sick man and if anyone found out what had happened, they would have me to blame for his accident. "You have to wake up!" I shook his shoulders even tougher than before. "Come on, you can't be so stupid!" I frowned.
As I ran up the stairs, I Iooked over my shoulder just in time to find Chad holding Rebecca down. Like I had suspected, she had attempted to run after me and was scowling like a wind beast. "Let me go Chad, I'm going to kill her, I have to kill her!"
