Xander

Weren’t we supposed to pick her pets up this afternoon…together? I grab my phone of the dresser and dial Hayley’s number.

“Hi Xander."

“Hayley. Would you like to explain why you decided to go to your mums alone? I thought you wanted them to think this marriage is real?”

“Didn’t you get my message? I just came to pick my babies up. I didn’t want to disturb you.”

“Do you want me to come meet you there?”

“No, there’s no need. We are just about to leave. I'll see you just now, okay? Bye”

She cuts the call before I can utter a word. Why do I feel like somethings off?

I decide to grab a quick workout to rid myself of all this pent up frustration. I don’t know how I’m going to handle Hayley. I’ll have to play it by ear.
