After waiting for more than a quarter of a day, the door to the O.R finally opened and a doctor walked out, with two nurses in tow. Xavier jumped up from where he sat, careful enough not to wake Celine who had fallen asleep beside him. "How is he?" Xavier asked the doctor once he was in front of him. The doctor gave him an odd look, and turned back to look at the nurses with questioning eyes. "Who are you?" The doctor asked, scrutinizing Xavier like he was some criminal. I'm asking you how my grandfather is, I don't fucking care if you know who I am" He yelled, causing Celine to jump up from where she had dozed off on the sit. She stood up and moved closer to Xavier, placing a hand on his shoulder. "We just want to know if Mr. Smith is alright." Celine replied. "Well, tell that to the police." Xavier and Celine went back to the O.R to see his grandfather but they were told that he had been moved to a regular ward. "Regular ward?" Xavier questioned the nurse attending to them. "Do you think he deserves to be in some low budget ward?" His voice was rising as he spoke to the nurse. Celine had to tug at his sleeves for him to watch his tone. Maria stayed bottled up inside her apartment, she had tried going out to the grocery store and had noticed that some car was on her trail, it was oddly suspicious so she stayed put in her house all day. Xavier sat by his grandfather's side on the hospital bed, Mr Smith was slowly drifting out of his comatose state and gradually regaining his consciousness."Grandfather.." Xavier whispered, he was bent over, staring keenly at the elderly man's face to see if there were any signs of him waking up, his grandfather's brows lifted slightly to his relief.He rang a bell by the bedside to alert a nurse, less than a minute later, a female doctor walked into the hospital ward, accompanied by some nurses who held trays with medicines in them." We're going to wake him up completely now" The doctor explained to Xavier, she picked a syringe from one of the trays and drew liquid from a glass vial into the syringe.She injected the content of the syringe into the bag of intravenous drip that was going into Mr Smith's body."Is he well?" Mr Smith wanted the wedding done as soon as possible, which means little time to round up preparations.
